The Trustees have taken regard to the Charity Commission fjuldan￿ on Public Benefit
Achievements
In addition to the acknvtties listed above the Trustees have undertaken a major refresh of the hall and
its facilities uknlising grants and volunteers, this has included new lighting, revised storage and COTnplete
internal decoration. Provision of newtables and chairs_ Externally security lighting and CCTV have been

Finance
The Trustees can report total Incomeforthe yearat £72.917 and expenditure of£62.802. These figures
include the support of five Govemment Grants totslling £57.177. Income on activities and hirings was
£15,705 wwth expendwture of £13,454. The Trustees are committed to a review of hire charges in the
next financial year.
The Bishop Middleham Village Hall reserves policy is to hold back funds equivalent to 3 months total
monthly averdge unrestricted income as Reserves.
The purpose of holding these reserves is to cover the risk of unforeseen emergency or other
unexpected need for funding and/or unforeseen day to day operational costs.
In 2023 the amount of reserves held was £4CIXI.
Strurture. Governan￿ and Management
The Trust is a registered CIO {registered 24 August 2017 No 117340).
Trustees are elected annually at the Annual General Meeting.
Meetings of the Trustees are held monthly at which members of the public are v￿lCome to attend but
not vote. Additional meetings may be called by the Chair as required.
