Winterley Methodist Church is part of the'methodlst Church of Great Brltaln. whose
stgtus as a charity has historically been derived from the Deed of Unlon 1932 and the
Methodist Church Act 1976. We are connected to Cheshlre South Methodist Clrcult
which itself Is part of the Chester & Stoke-on-Trent Methodist Distrlct.
We operate In the administrative unitary authority are8 of Chèshire East.

OBJECTIVES & ACTIVITIES
We are 8 local Metho¢Jist Church. sltuated in a semi-rural location between Crewe
and Sandbach in Che$hire. We are primarily a worshipping and fellowship church.
We host a pieschool pl8ygroup who have a Licence to Use a dedlcated building
attached to the main church building. Winter16y Brass Band also practice regularly in

the building. They have a good reputation and perform at both Methodist and
comrnunity events in the area. There is a regular weekly act of worship, calé style
services and a regular midweek coff8e morning open to all. All events are well
advertised to the local community in the village.
The building was totally refurbished in 2017.
ACHEIVEMENTS IN THEYEAR BEING CURRENTLY REPORTED
Fundraising Activities in¢lu¢ing a book Sgle . Soup and Carol evening and Pancake Party took
place during the year.
The Coffee Fellowship and Social Groups includlng the U3A, Pllates, Karate and Sunday
Lunches continue to 8ttr8Ct 8 signific8nt number of participants.
The Winterley Band contlnues to have an extenslve prograrn of events and has had successful
year of fundraising. Band Members also assisted in the Church Fundraising events.
PLANS FOR THE FUTURE PERIOD
Continue with Fundraising actlvlties and to grow the Church by encouraglng membershlp of the
Methodlst Church.
5. RESERVES POLICY
The reserves pollcyfor 202512026 Is to hold at least É6000 In r88dlly avallable funds
in the General Fund lunrestrietèdl, which is sufficiént to meet tyPlC81 general
expenditure for 8 period of six months.
