Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document
For the purposes of a public playing field, physical and mental training, recreation and moral and intellectual development through the medium of a village hall, reading and recreation rooms, library lectures and classes or otherwise as may be found expedient for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Parish of Walkeringham in the County of Nottinghamshire and its immediate vicinity without distinction of sex or political, religious or other opinions, subject to the provisions of these presents.

The Covid 19 pandemic has greatly influenced out activities this year. The hall was kept open as a Hub for the supply and distribution of basic essential foodstuff for the village. We also continued to deliver foods to those housebound or shielding due to the pandemic. Trustee meetings were held virtually using internet connections.
We were able to organise the OAP lunch during a break from the lockdowns imposed.
We again held the Carols round the Tree in the village hall after consulting weather forecasts.
Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)
When possible the normal activities such as Bingo, Playgroup and Line Dancing were held.
We have also benefited from providing services in conjunction with events held by others when they were allowed.

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
Our activities have been curtailed this year due to the pandemic. We managed to the organise and cater for an OAP’s Christmas lunch. Since late January we have provided a local source of basic foods including the acceptance and supply of items requested by villagers and the stocking of basic lines of food and cleaning items. We have also delivered ordered items. Additional income has also been raised from the sale of bric-a-brac donated by villagers.
We have also benefited from Grants from various authorities which were made in order to allow us to continue

Section E Financial review
Policy is to have sufficient funds to maintain the property and land in a Brief statement of the reasonable condition for 18 months. At the end of the year the reserves charity’s policy on reserves were £33978 split between a savings account, current account and cash in hand and it is felt that this will cover the base running costs for more than 18 months.
