The LCT provides opportunities for schools, local community users, established cricket clubs, nomadic cricket clubs, children and young persons. Specifically, the project encourages physical activity and social integration within local communities using the sport of cricket. 

From April 2024 to April 2025, the LCT, assisted by the England and Wales Cricket Board, successfully installed 18 non-turf pitches and three net complexes in London. The LCT also hosted their second annual Awards event to acknowlegde local authorities and individuals who have put significant time and effort into growing cricket in their respective boroughs.
