The LCT provides opportunities for schools, local community users, established cricket clubs, nomadic cricket clubs, children and young persons. Specifically, the project encourages physical activity and social integration within local communities using the sport of cricket. From April 2021 to April 2022, the LCT, assisted by the England and Wales Cricket Board, successfully installed 11 non-turf pitches and net complexes in London (in 11 different parks). The LCT was then responsible for a further 14 new cricket facilities before the end of 2022. Plans are in place for yet more facilities in 2023. To date, 66 schools across London have been the beneficiaries of free cricket starter kits that now enable the schools to expand their physical education programmes. Even more schools will receive starter kits in 2023. The Charity holds no reserves and only incurs expenditure that is specifically covered by grants.
