In addillon lo Ihg Lead Team there 18 a Board of Dlreclors Tnade up of members of the L8ad Toam and
five lay peuple. This body of péople are the Iruslees of Foundry Cornmunlty Churoh. They THeel
minlmum of 4 lim85 a year and thelr rnÈ8tings are recorded through rnlnules. Our Trustee team was
strengthoned in 2023 with th8 addlllon of Andrew Holland lflnanc81.
In addition, we have many volunteer teams thal 8r& 18d by bolh salaried and volunte8r leaders. The

Achlgvemènis and Perforniance
Ag a church we have ¢ontlnued to meet on Sunday's both In-person and through streaming our online
services. Wa had an average attendance of 146 joining LJS on Sundays in-person and online.
The church continued to work in close partnership wllh our sist6r charities; PRC and The Lighlhou5e to
provlde independgnt living opportunities for the over-60s 8nd for men who are seeking support frorn
drug andlor alcohol addlctlons. However, in the summ8r of 2023, The Lighthouse charity was paused
due lo slafflng changes.

started. and increasing numb8r8 of people atlended. 2023 saw new groups launch for Persian Alpha,
Walklng and Women.
AcliYltSes for chlldren and young people within tho church community and surroun(Jlng area8 Continued
to lake place on Friday nights and Sunday mornings. These groups continu8 to grow In Influence as
they help children and young people in our Community navigate lifè 8nd fomi friendships.
We continue lo respond to the needs of famllies In our community who face hardship during the $clK>oI
holiday's from food Insecurity 8nd Isolation. This was outworked through two of our projects., Lunch Club
8nd Kitchen Cupboard. In 2022 Lunch Club provlded 919 lunchos dudng the school holidays for 81
chlldrén and 32 parenlslcarors.
As a church. we recognise the Importanc8 of supportlng those who are $9gklng asylum arwj refuge In
our local ￿mmUnity. Over the past y8ar, we have actively sought (o PTovide praolieal and emolional
support lo local charities wtjrklng wlth asylum seèkers and refugees. We have donaled funds lo these
organisallons, promoted the need for volunleeTS lo help with Ihgir work. and raised 8war8ness about
thelr important tnlssion. We have also welcomed refugees and asylum seekers Into our church
communlly, providlng a safe and welcoming spac8 for them loworship, conno¢twlth others, and receN@
support. We bÈli8v8 that il Is OUT duty as a church to support and CaFe for those who 8re vuln8rBble and
marglnallzad in our community, and we are commltted to continuing this Itnportanl work in the yg8rs to
come.
We awe pl8ased to have a building that is not only 8 place of worshlp bul also 8 valLJable resource ftsr
the wlder communlly. W8 r8cognlse that there Is a need for affordable and accessible spa¢e$ for local
cornmunlty groups, schools, and corporate clients lo hold theirevenls. meetings. and activities. A5 SLJCh,
we have made our bulldlng avallable for room hires at Teasonablè rates. We have welcomed a variety
of groups, Including the NHS, local adoption agtrn¢Tres, parents and babies, SPDrts and fitness Clubs,
dance groups, and business organisatlons. Our building has also been used for Confe￿nces, training
SQsslons. and school 8vants. By providing our building for room hSr8s. we are not only generating
additional income for the church btjt also slrenglhening our relationships with th8 loc81 community and
promotlng the use of our facilities for the greater good.
Through the endeavour. hard work 8nd ¢reallvSly of ils amazing volunteers and staff team, Foundry
Communlty Church contlnuas to fulfil its mission and serve the town of Widnes and beyond. Ils greatest
resource howevor. ￿MaInS its pèopla. The Iruslees wish lo acknowledge the contribution of both staff
and lh8 congregation and look forward to it8 Contlnued success in the yèars to come.
