Review of activlties and achievements:
Our two Sunday seNices and midweek meetings have continued this year. The moming
congregation average5 between 40- 50 with about 30 attendees in the evening. We have 41
members with some new people visiting us regulady. The new screen instslled in the chapel along
with all the necessary technolo8y enables our moming service5 to be streamed through YouTube for
people to watch 'live" or pitk up later. We have a good following on this facility for those who are
unable to attend. Our hymnslsongs are played on piano, organ and guitsrs, with a small singing
group-
Our thanks go to those supportive people who help to run these servi￿5 and who have glven
great deal of time to install and operate the necessary equipment.
Between 12 and 18 attend the Tuesday evening Bible study and prayer meetings. that include
mlsslon prayers and occasional DVDS supporting the meeting content.
Our church has been used by the Hambrook Probus aub, the local model railway society, Steve
Goddard's prayer group and indeed as a polling ststion, as requlred by the local councll.
Events durlng 2023 Indude: The ladies monthly coffee moming on the first Saturday of the month
held at a variety of interesting locations. The men'5 film and pizza evenings, The T from 2. held on
the second Friday of the month in the church where anyone tan enjoy'tea, coffee, cake and a thay
free of charge. Our popular Saturday walks also continue to be enjoyed by manv.
OurTea from Two team ralsed an amazlng £IAXI from the sale of p￿SerVeS, greetSn8s cards and
Christmas crafts. as well as donations from those who enjoy the tea and cakes on the second Frldav
of each month. This money is sent direct to Tearfund.
We enjoyed a Harvest supper in Ortober and a well attended, (passenger funded) canal boat trlp In
September.
Thls years Bontlre nlght & flreworks took place ralslng £224.50 in donations, free food and drlnks
were avallable to all attending.
The Communlty carols were also a 8reat success, again with free refreshments. ralslng £192.72 in
donations for InHope. Both events were attended by over 200 people.
The Welfare Fund opened in 2020 for the purpose of assisting members and those of our regular
congregation in times of exceptional emergencies and hardship now stands at £1,450. Grants from
this Fund would be at the discretion of the Pastor and Deacons.
Our Childrens. group. Jesus And Me (JAM) now ha$ 2 very tiny children most week5 and occaslonally
3 older children visit. Our activities are dependent on the numbers and ège5 of children in
attendance. Our EPIC group material remains available should older children attend again.
Our Pastor. David. faithfully prepared week by week a structured teaching programme for both
morning and evening services which was Sent to all the tongregation via email plus printed copies
made available to those without email. Coupled with this is an upto-date list of the prayer need5 of
the congregation.
The Church celebrated David's tenth anniversary of his ministry at Whiteshill this year. David and hls
wife Hazel have continued to make homevisits and regularly contact people by telephone which we
know has been an encouragement for many people especially those that cannot get out at all. The
church evenings at the Manse. hosted by David and Hazel on the first Tuesday of the month have
continued and are really enjoyed by those who attend.

The Church Officers constantly review the level of funds and seek to ensure suffident is carried
fo￿vard to meet anticipated expenditure necessary to enable the church to continue its activities
and to maintain the properties in good condition. Although a substsntial renovation programme was
carried out to the building in 2016, it is recognised that. being a 200-year-old Grade Il. Listed
buildin& there will. from time to time. be the need for maintenance and repairs, the cost of whlch
will have to be met from our General Reserve5 and, if necessary, special appeals. We have recently
reviewed our Reserves Policy and aim to retain sufficlent Surplus funds to enable us to guarantee at
least one yearfs stipendiary package for our Pastor and to ensure that we hold adequate funds to
meet any unexpetted expenditure required on the buildings.
The trustees have pleasure in presenting this report of the ￿UrCh for the year ended 31st
December 2023. The information set out above regarding the trust forms part of our report and the
attached accounts are those of the church which we have prepared and were approved and adopted
on 3, September 2024.
We look forward In anticipation to 2024 and seek the Lord's guidance and blessing as the church at
Whiteshill continues Christian worship. witness. and communitysUPPOrt in Hambrook and the
surroundin8 area.
Signed on behalf of the trustees.
