Objectives and Activities
Summary of the charity’s purposes as set out in its governing document.

To promote community participation in healthy recreation by providing facilities for the playing of association football and other sports capable of improving health (i.e., land, buildings, equipment, and organising sporting activities.

To provide and assist in providing facilities for sport, recreation, or other leisure time occupation of such persons who have need for such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship, poverty, or social and economic circumstances, particularly those adversely affected by civil unrest, rebellion, or war, or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving their conditions of life;

To advance public education, in particular physical education, with a focus on children and young people, especially those displaced and traumatised by war, with a view to helping children and young people develop and grow to maturity as members of society by such means as the trustees think fit.

Continued development of the StopOSAEC project in the Philippines, a nationwide prevention programme aimed at eradicating online sexual abuse and exploitation of children.

StopOSAEC programme was adapted to include children with autism and indigenous communities in Luzon and Mindanao (Bicol and Bukidnon). The 2024 training emphasized OSAEC reporting, leading to crucial reports of sexual harassment, rape, and OSAEC activities from various communities.

Coaches deepened their understanding of child safeguarding, c hildren’s rights, the —
Anti-OSAEC law, and Psychological First Aid a vital mental health skill adopted by coaches mentoring traumatized children.

Distributed over 500 footballs to beneficiaries of the Football for Humanity community in marginalised and conflict-affected communities nationwide.

Organised and coordinated friendly football games with the HMS Royal Navy and the Philippines Navy and Marines.

Strengthened safeguarding best practice and knowledge on Anti-OSAEC Law, child protection policies, children’s rights, and cybercrime laws.

Retained and strengthened international partnerships and sponsorships that strengthened our capabilities and practice, such as social media strategies, field training, curriculum development, child protection policies, and partnerships with UN Football for the Goals, the Australian Embassy, the British Embassy and the Department of Justice.

Raised national awareness of StopOSAEC programme via GMA Network with a net reach of 61 million viewers

Onboarded and trained community coaches in new locations.

We trained 30 new coaches, including young leaders, for the Stop Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children project. This training utilised trauma-informed and survivor-led practice.
