TRUSTEES REPORT

SECCA-UK in collaboration with SECCA Malawi and some of its partners, have continued to support the work of the very vulnerable people within Malawi. SECCA Malawi was finally registered after a long process of scrutiny and this will make it easier to support most of its charity work. It has been another year of mixed feelings in regards to the charitable activities undertaken and the lack of funding to support all the projects. There has been a slow pace in the charitable work and I believe this is down to post covid effects.

As Trustees we have continued to prioritise a number of charitable work for the very vulnerable within Malawi with the little resources that we have generated from the monthly contributions by Trustees and from other well-wishers. Notable projects within the year include

1. Financial Support to Mulanje communities (Malawi)-£3000

2. PCM SODIAL DEVELOPMENT FUND- £626

This fund is in support of 12 secondary school learners through the provision of fees for the academic year 2021/22.

3. HOLISTIC CARE £482

Budgetary support for the purchase of food to an orphanage for 3 months.

  1. Support of needy students identified in Malawi (£500)

  2. Donation of assorted clothes to new born babies, vulnerable adults and children. This has been through the generosity of different individuals including Baby Beat charity in Preston.

Going forward and planning to 2023, we would like to see a more rejuvenated and vibrant SECCA UK. Our plans are to step up our charitable activities within the UK with a plan to construct a warehouse in Malawi for SECCA which will act as a central point of coordinating and supporting SECCA activities. We would like to thank all our partners, volunteers and well wishers for all the support rendered to SECCA to enable us achieve our goals.
