During 2024 Hampshire Search arKI Rescue {HANTSAR) volunteers responded to every request for assistsnce with missing person searches made by Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary and neighbouring SAR teams. All operational members re(xived on-going tt3ining throughout 2024 to ensure their cA)mpetencies were maintained to the high level required to achieve the Charity objectives. The Trustees are aware of the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefft, and we are satisfied the provision of volunteer search and rescue sep4ices to Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary in the search for vulnerable missing persons, and volunteer assistance to local authorities during emergency situations, constitutes a public benefft. Section D Achievements and performance Summary of the maln achlevements of the charlty during the year HANTSAR were called out on 72 occasions in 2024 providing 18.835 hours gross volunteer time. This includes live searches, flood assistance, training, fundraising and management tasks. HANTSAR provided a comprehensive training pr(yJramme throughout the year for both trainee and qUalifd Licensed Search Technicians, as well as other key roles, thus ensuring that our volunteers continue to provide "professional stsndard. search and reSe service throughout Hampshire. The level of training, combined with the dedication of members, has enabled HANTSAR to assist Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constsbulary In searching for vulnerable persons by having that expertise on Sne quickly, and to respond quickly to assist bcal authorities with flood- related emergencies and other civic incidents. To promote publlc awareness the Chaiity provided dlsplays at local events. The team also assisted in the administration of public events by providing marshals at firework displays and running rdces. With a concem for the welfare of the elderly, contsct continues with care homes. the area Alzheimerfs Society and 0th8r dementia groups to emphasise measures that carers can tske which would assist police and search teams if a vulnerable person went missing. Talks were also given to a variety of ¢)Jmmunty groups thrghout the year to continua to prornote and ralse awareness of HANTSAR and the1&8ues of vulnerable missing persons in Hampshire. In March 2024 the tsam's long-temi use of a dedi(2t prop8ty for training and storage was secured, with the relocation of equipment completing shortly afterwards. Throughout 2024, and prior years, the specialist teams (medical, high- rlsk search and drone) continued to grow by adding trained members and obtaining additional equipment Through additional training during 2024 the team now has the (apablllty for safely searching on, and recovering from, sloped ground. Also throughout 2024, HANTSAR'S relationship with local authoriti8S continued to grow and we are now a trusted partner for assisting with civil emergency situations when required. Relationships with emergency services were also enhanced this year resulting in opportunities for collaboratj'on for the mutual benefit of all parties. The vehicle replacement prograrnme is expected to complete in early 2025, culminating in the accomplishment of the main objectives of the original 5 year plan. TAR March 2012

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Hampshire Search and Rescue (the charity) for the year ended 31 December 2024.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).
I report in respect of my examination of the charity’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent examiner’s statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with my examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the Act; or

the accounts do not accord with those records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
