## Section C: Objectives and activities
The objectives of the UK Compassion association are: to support charitable work of people in the UK; promote and improve Buddhist education by holding prayer meetings; o\er meditation coaching and practise; help vulnerable people who are going through physical or emotional pain; deliver teaching on how to maintain mental wellbeing and positive thinking; help farm animals, etc. During the weekly prayer meeting, we encourage each other to share challenges and problems in our lives and provide support accordingly.

## **1. Spiritual Practice & Holistic Wellbeing**
- **Mind Cultivation:** Conducted fortnightly sessions focused on Buddhist chanting and practice to help participants apply teachings to daily life.
- **Health Support:** Integrated traditional healing by providing free online consultations with a qualified Chinese medical doctor to support the physical wellbeing of our participants.
## **2. Charitable Resource Distribution**
- **Free Materials:** Continued the operation of our distribution centre, providing books, candles, and incense to the public at no cost.
- **Financial Integrity:** Maintained a model funded entirely by public donations with no commercial or business activities, ensuring all resources remain accessible to everyone.
## **3. Animal Welfare & Compassion in Action**
- **Direct Rescue:** Actively engaged in saving animals, with a specific focus on rescuing hens from industrial environments.
- **Sanctuary Support:** Provided ongoing support to animal sanctuaries to ensure a safe environment for all rescued beings.
## **4. Daily Dedication of Merits**
- **Universal Compassion:** Performed daily spiritual dedications for the benefit of unborn children, those suffering from illness, the deceased, and all sentient beings.
- **Scriptural Basis:** This practice aligns with the spirit of the _Avatamsaka Sutra_ , which teaches: _"I should be a hostel for all sentient beings, to let them be free from all hardships... I must dedicate all roots of goodness for the sake of all beings."_

- **COVID-19 Impact:** Due to the lasting effects of the pandemic, the charity has encountered significant operational difficulties.
