Section C: Objectives and activities

The objectives of the UK Compassion association are: to support charitable work of people in the UK; promote and improve Buddhist education by holding prayer meetings; o\er meditation coaching and practise; help vulnerable people who are going through physical or emotional pain; deliver teaching on how to maintain mental wellbeing and positive thinking; help farm animals, etc. During the weekly prayer meeting, we encourage each other to share challenges and problems in our lives and provide support accordingly.

1. To cultivate the mind in the Buddhist way and apply the teachings to daily life. We also held monthly chanting and practise sessions.

2. A series of talks delivered by Master Hai Tao on the theme of compassion and love in di\erent cities. These sharing sessions were open to the public to help people deal with the stress they were experiencing in their lives and enable them to lead their lives in a more meaningful and positive way.

3. A Precepts (Jukai) ceremony was held in May. Those who attended received the precepts and formally become Buddhists.

4. Vegetarian feast in Newcastle and London: providing food and drink to local older people who were unwell or experiencing financial di\iculties. Distributed food to the homeless.

5. Saving animals. Supporting animal Sanctuary.

6. The Charity distribution centre continued to distribute books, candles and incense to individuals without charge. The Charity entirely relies on donations from the society and there were no business activities during the year.

Report to the trustees/ Charity Name members of UK Compassion Association On accounts for the year 30 April 2020 Charity no 1174058 ended (if any) Set out on pages 2 (remember to include the page numbers of additional sheets)

• I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 30/04/2020.

• Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have examiner's statement come to my attention (other than that disclosed below *) in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

• accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or
