Trustees report for year ending 2020
We last met physically for a committee meeting on Thursday 27 February 2020. (Minutes attached).
So much has happened in the past twelve months which has deeply impacted on all our lives and the way in which we do things. This includes the L of F fundraising events.
During 2020 one committee member died and three others retired due to ill health.
In July a request was made via telephone from the Holderness Mental Health team for the use of the ECG Machine in their mental health clinics. As this equipment was not being used I made an ‘executive decision’ to allow them to put it to good use. A letter of thanks has subsequently been received with a reassurance that it will remain within the hospital
A majority agreement was reached regarding the wording of our Constitution in Section 7 General Meetings. This was duly amended and dated September 2020 (attached)
In September a letter and a cheque for £54 was received from the Ladies Section of the Hornsea Golf Club. Receipt and a letter of thanks has been sent.
In November, as we had missed our annual Membership Day, letters were despatched to as many past members as possible requesting them to renew their membership. Similarly an article was place the the Community News requesting the same plus urging others to join.
We accepted an invitation to participate in the Annual Christmas Tree Festival, although it is unclear how well received it was due to another Lockdown.
On the question of how often we should meet, the general consensus appears to be quarterly with the option of communicating at any time if and when a topic arises which needs a corporate decision.
