MOOS had 120 ¢hlldren on role throughout thls academlc year, whlch was a bl8lrtuease on Ihe wevlous year where thefe werè 70 thlldfen. Playgroup worked hard to provlde a hl8h 51andard of carè for a wlde a8e ran8e of chlsdfen, vary4n8 ihelr curritulum and adaptin8 thelr prKlke for thls a8e split. Thè we-5th￿l cohort ac￿5ed speclfic planned ctlvltles In order ¢0 prepare them for school. The two rooms helped wlth the a8e splli between the Garden Room and the Ocean R¢x)m enabllft8 the adMtl*s and play opportunities to b* more focussed and rneanlngful fof ihe dlffefent age Broups. In January 2020 the Playgroup had a tltslt from Otsted. Thls had an èxtremely 8ood outcome, beln8 rnted an 'Out5tandln¢ Provlder. In March 2020 cO￿d had a drasttc Impact on Settl￿ Melbourn Play8roup had to ck*se and at th15 tlme Iherè was no requirement from any parents for Key Worker thlklren to be cared for. During Lockdown the rnana8emenl team worked hard to send Ideas for aCt5￿tIes to help the chlldren and parent5 learn at homè. They also continued to check on *￿Inerable famllles and the chlldren concerned. It was a very Challenging time for everyone invo￿ed. howe￿ the Government Fudough 5theme supported the staff by paying tsf the w4es and the Qjmrnlttee were able to top up ihe wa8es a lurther 20￿ Therefore, the staff were recelving ICrf)% wa8e5 durlnm theffir5t Lockdown. Desplte the lack of fundralsln8 events at thts time. the Committee put a request forward to the Parlsh Councll. whlch was granted, and Play8rcwJp were able to fund a new Interartive Whiieboard for the Garden Room. The 8eneroslty of the Parish Coundl was pre*Aousty also appfedated back in November 2019 when more fvnds were granted and a set of 8arden Puddle Sults were pufchased. so the children could explore and enloy the outslde space In any weather. In June 2020 the Pltygroup were able to open complyin8 to Government Guldellnes relatln8 to Covldl9, however MOOS were not able to at this dme. Play8roup opened wlth a bubble of io chlldien. 2 days per week and a limlted number of ￿aff.
