**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)**

The trustees believe that both our purposes satisfy both elements of the public benefit requirement. The direct benefits which flow from purpose one include improved community engagement of the very young in the community and those of more advanced years. The latter age group requiring more engagement following the announcement that as of 23[rd] March 2020, the United Kingdom will enter a period of lockdown to help contain the Covid 19 pandemic. The charity assisted those shielding and most vulnerable with the collection and purchasing of both medication and essential groceries.

There is no private benefit flowing from this purpose.

## Section D Achievements and performance

Funding was secured from our colleagues at Co-op via the Co-op customer loyalty card scheme whereby three local charities are selected for community support for a financial year. This funding (which proved to be flexible following the Covid outbreak) was originally to help renovate the kitchen at the hall. The funds are still within the charity but were invaluable in helping the charity to get through the pandemic.
