## ANNUAL REPORT 2021/2022

This year has been dominated by covid and has resulted in an extremely difficult year for us regarding income received and our ability to fundraise. Covid restrictions were eased as we progressed throughout 2021 but a second wave brought a second lockdown in the latter part of 2021. We were unable to carry out our annual sponsored walks and had to keep the SOSW Lucky Lotto suspended. Some groups have been hit hard with a sizable minority of members having passed away during the past year and are now in the process of trying to re start meetings where it is safe to do so. SOSW Trustees decided to plan a start in April 2022 with the SOSW Lucky Lotto followed by the sponsored walk events in September and December

We began 2021 with £2647.52 in the charity account. We were fortunate to receive donations throughout the year from Paypal Giving Fund along with some individual donations to the total sum of £1206.47. Our total expenditure this year has been £1595.00 with SOSW being able to help support local stroke groups as well as support new support groups in Neath and Port Talbot. Our closing balance stands at £2768.14

The Trustees would like to thank all those for their support of the charity and once again ask that you all stay safe and healthy. We look forward to this next year with positivity and hope to put covid behind us and for us all to try and move forward with our rehabilitation.

sincerely

**Will Nedin** Chairperson SOSW
