Letter from the Vicar
Dear friends,
In the busyness of life, it is all too easy to forget to pause and recognise all that God has been doing among us. Reading through the annual report, is always a great reminder of some of the highlights of this last year. I thank God for all that is happening in the life of St Peter’s. It is a huge privilege to work alongside so many wonderful people of God and I’m encouraged by the signs of his work in our community:

The re-emergence of our ‘House of Prayer’ focus,

The new people that are joining our church.

The new families that are joining in with many of our church activities, events, and services. In particular:

The joy of seeing the growth in the young people who help lead the Simply Celebrate service.

The new children joining Sunday School.

The many people who have been blessed by our serving people ministries in this country and abroad.

The growing number of volunteers (over 100) that we have supporting so many of our ministries here in church and the community.

And more…
We’ve been blessed to have Alison Abbott join us in this last year and we look forward to her being ordained priest on 2[nd] July and the extra good news is that she will be joining us full time after that.
We also look forward to welcoming Matthew Arnold as a new curate that will be joining us this July. He, his wife Lynn and their son Clement live in Butlers Marston and Matthew will be commuting from there.
I am always grateful to all the clergy and lay people on our leadership teams, for the wisdom and energy that they bring to the church.
There is a lot to give thanks for... We are blessed here at St Peter’s with a great church family who are becoming the people God calls us to be. We are seeing people maturing in the Christian faith, serving those in need and growing closer in fellowship. And in all this, God is adding to our numbers.
Thank you all for the time, talents, money, and energy that you give in serving God and people.

St Peter’s Vision & Values
Vision
Being a Christian is about following Jesus; drawing close to him, learning from him, and serving like he served, all as part of a Christian community. As we do this together, we grow to realise more of our potential, we never arrive, but we can always get closer to who we could be. So, simply stated, the vision of St Peter’s is:
Becoming the people God calls us to be.
And we aim to help one another do that by focussing on the things we see the church doing in the Bible; Loving God, Serving People and Growing Community
Loving God
We want to help one another experience the love and power of God, growing in our awareness of His love for us and learning to take time just to be with him.
We also want to help one another learn more about God; the history of his interaction with humanity, the richness of our inheritance in the Bible, the guidance he has given and still gives today and more.
Serving People
We aim to help one another identify and develop our gifts and talents and enable each of us to serve where God is calling us to make a difference. We work together to identify the needs of the people in our village to find ways that we can help.
Growing Community
We work on being a community where relationships are real and supportive, where all are welcomed and can feel at home as part of our church family. We want to grow in our love for one another as a community and we want that love and hospitality to overflow to the wider village community.
Becoming who God calls us to be.
We believe if we focus on growing the church in these areas then we’ll provide the right environment for making new

disciples, helping every member to grow in faith, in service and in belonging. Together becoming the people that God calls us to be.

Values
Our values are like a ‘highway code’ by which we all journey together and hopefully avoid accidents, or road rage! We feel that the guidance St Paul gave the church in Colossae outlines a set of values to which we aspire. We do not always get it right, but they are a good target for which to aim:
“… clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; teach and admonish one another in all wisdom; and with gratitude in your hearts sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (Colossians 3:12-17)

St Peter’s Community
We believe God’s plan for changing our world involves him helping people (through all their highs and lows, joys and sorrows, happiness, sadness, anger, and grief) to become all that he calls them to be. And, whilst on their own journey, helping others to do the same.
We welcome anyone who would like to join us on our journey. We all have a part to play in helping one another and in sharing the love of God with our community and the wider world.
The following pages on ‘Loving God’, ‘Serving People’, ‘Growing Community’ and ‘Becoming’ give ideas of how we aim to help people on their journey in each of those areas.
We surround all that we do with prayer and our hope is that St Peter’s community would grow to become a house of prayer and blessing.

Loving God Ministries
Helping one another to grow in the knowledge and love of God; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We know that people encounter God and learn in many different ways, so we continue to offer different services, prayer meetings, groups, events, and courses to help people on their journey.
St Peter’s Church House of Prayer
A year on from emerging from the pandemic, our House of Prayer ministries are slowly restarting and beginning to take on a new shape.
There is a new digital prayer group that was set up and is led by Barbara Essex. Alison Abbot has established a prayer station in the sanctuary, we had the prayer tent back up during Holy Week, and new patterns of prayer are being tried out.
We continue to explore a vision of what it means for the church to be and to be known as a House of Prayer and Blessing. Prayer in the life of the church has continued to develop over this last year.
A couple of the Home Groups are currently doing the 24-7 Lectio course on hearing God, and for the period from Ascension Day to Pentecost we are running short series of Night Prayer slots on the Livestream Facebook page.
On top of this there are prayer ministry and intercessions in church, prayer in home groups and more.
To help us re-unite and be refreshed after the challenges of COVID, we had a church away day at St Nicholas in Radford Semele in May 2022 with ReSource ministries. We spent a wonderful time worshipping, learning, praying, eating, and laughing together.
Thank you to the many people that contribute the life of prayer at St Peter’s. Please pray that God would continue to lead us into a deeper and more prayerful relationship with him.

Services
We have continued to develop our range of services to help people encounter God:
-
8:30am BCP communion once a month.
-
10:30am service with contemporary worship which also has communion twice a month.
-
Our first Sunday services, Simply Celebrate, continues to run successfully with breakfast beforehand and a great team of local families to help run the service. Thank you to the Simply Celebrate team for the wonderful breakfasts and to our young people for all they contribute to those services.

In the last year we have developed our Sunday School, as an action-packed time for children, where parents drop them off at the school, and
-
pick them up later from church. It involves construction, crafts, songs, drama, and games. This has proven very popular, and we’ve had a number of new people joining the service.

We’ve continued to run ‘Pints of View’ in the Swan once a month and this is growing in popularity.
- Festival services, like Carols in the Market Square, continue to be major celebrations. And it was wonderful to be able to have a church full of people for the crib service again. It’s the first time we’ve been able to run it properly since Christmas 2019.
Our services involve an incredibly large number of people that work together to organise rotas, set up, welcome, organise breakfasts, make teas and coffees, lead the prayers, lead the sung worship, offer prayer ministry, decorate the church, clean the church, etc. as well as the team that leads and preaches at services.
We can only offer the wide range of things we do because of the dedicated work of our volunteers. You are all amazing! Thank you to everyone involved in our services, for all that you are doing 😊

Families, youth, and children’s work
There continues to be the vision of seeing children welcomed into the church community. Families and young people are being reached out to, and the love of God shared with them through the events and services on offer. This year has seen the addition of Sunday School.
Simply Celebrate
happens once a month and predominately engages the families who attend though our ‘regular congregation’ also seem to enjoy most of the ‘all singing all dancing’ approach taken in this fun act of worship! A light breakfast adds an extra incentive and flying chocolates also encourage the young at heart to participate. (Though it has been disclosed that older members of the congregation don’t approve of the latter!) The service consists of drama, songs, craft/activity, talk and games and is upbeat with a celebratory vibe.
Usually, we have 5 or 6 families who attend with children and roughly 12 children who are regularly participating. It would be nice to broaden the appeal to other families in the area. Ideas would be welcome regarding how we do this.
Sunday School
happens every 3[rd] Sunday morning at Kineton Primary School. Regular helpers are Abi
Chapleo, Liz Host, AnneMarie Lando, Sarah Jackson and Elizabeth Cudworth – though she has now stepped down from her role.
The session runs for 75 minutes and attracts between 10-20 children. Songs, games, drama, talk, and crafts are involved. Whilst the school is ideal for large number of children, it can feel a bit too big when there is a smaller number. The vestry has been used twice recently for the sessions which has proved successful although one parent referred to it as a storage cupboard and not suitable for Sunday School! Again, ideas on how we increase the numbers of children attending would be welcome.

Connect
Connect has continued to meet monthly either in person or online. We have a fabulous group of young people that enjoy food together, play games and discuss various topics.
There are 6-9 young people aged 11-16 years who attend and it’s always lots of fun- so if you know anyone interested in joining, please do encourage them to come along on the first Sunday of the month at 6pm!

Faith and Life Courses
Team: Jane Hill, Barry Jackson, Sarah Jackson, Helen Gunton
Foundations
We offer “Foundations” – a 2-hour course – to all those who are planning a church wedding. We structure the session around the words spoken during the wedding service. It’s intended to help couples understand a little more about the vows that they will make on their wedding day, and how the vows relate to Christian Faith. So, we cover the basics of “Who is Jesus?”, “Why did he die and why is this significant to Christian Faith?”, “What promises do the couple make to one another and what do the words mean?”, “What does it mean when we ask for God’s blessing?” On average we get 2 – 4 couples on each course, and the feedback is positive – couples value this opportunity, making the vows much more meaningful when the Big Day comes!

This was a new 3-week online course in a Bite Sized format to help people come back to the basics of discipleship.
Life Keys
Life Keys is our new digital platform for sharing learning, exploring meaning, growing community, and deepening faith. It’s open to people of all faiths and beliefs that want to share and grow in life skills, explore faith and work together to help build a better community.

It is a digital home for many of our Life courses (see below) as well as our faith courses.
For faith courses on Life Keys, we are offering the Lectio course on Hearing God and a series of Easter reflections that Barry wrote whilst on sabbatical last year. In the next month we will be moving the Explore course onto Life Keys.
Life courses
The Finding a Job You Love and Building Lasting
Relationships courses have both been run in the last year.
The Living Well course, which explores improving wellbeing, managing stress and
building resilience, was run in a bite-sized format in the autumn and has been transferred to the Life Keys App. And in Lent this year we re-packaged the Difference course to be able to run it on the Life Keys app, and we had over 60 people join the course.

The Bereavement Café
We have had a very busy 12 months with an average of 16-18 people attending each Monday Session. We have moved to the Scout Hall which has proven to be not only warmer but more accessible and a great meeting place.
The Bereavement Journey has run 3 times in the last 12 months. Questionnaires confirm that everyone is finding it very worthwhile – especially if followed twice. Every person’s journey is different, and different parts of the course are relevant at different points in that journey.
The course has also been taken to Hastings House Surgery to enable staff to process their own grief and the trauma of the pandemic. It has been sad to see the toll this has taken on staff and is the least we can do to support and help in their own recovery.
Each time that we have run the course, we have been very pleased to welcome nurses from Shipston Home Nursing. In the long run we aim to provide a pastoral support service for people and families dealing with end-of-life care. It would allow us to support the bereaved in a much more personal way, having met their loved one, and being there- in those early stages of loss.

Where this has been possible, we have been encouraged by the recovery of the bereaved.
Specifically in the last 12 months, it has become increasingly obvious that anxiety is a huge part of grief- especially in the early stages. This is often over-looked. We have looked at anxiety management, and then spent the Autumn term concentrating on Building resilience and finding ways to step out of our comfort zones to re-engage with the world.
We have also met with the Palliative Care consultant at Warwick and the Wellbeing Co-ordinator to discuss what has worked well and how this type of support may be replicated elsewhere. We will also be on a new Warwickshire ‘hub’ directory for newly bereaved.
The most positive encouragement from the group however has been the growth of relationships and how much people have moved on during their time with us. We have had much laughter as well as tears. Overwhelmingly it is a safe place to explore our thoughts and look hopefully to a different future. The Remembering Service on All Souls Day, run by Rev Dr Beren Hartless and The Bereavement Team was well attended by members of the café and those who had been bereaved in the last 12 months.
All of this has only been made possible by the support of Kineton PCC/ Kineton Scouts and thanks especially to a wonderful team of experienced helpers/professional volunteers.

Serving People ministries Helping one another to identify and develop our gifts and talents in order that each of us can serve where God is calling us to make a difference.
We help one another find the areas where God has given us a passion to make a difference. Our serving people ministries are specific church activities where we work together to bless people and help bring God’s kingdom here on earth.

World Mission Team 2023
The World Mission Team (WMT) would like to thank Jim Saxton for his leadership of the group for several years and Ann Saxton for her contribution too. Since COVID the group has not been very active but donations from church giving have continued to the various charities we have supported previously, namely: The local branch Salvation Army, Eco-Workshop; Tools with a Mission (TWAM) and Friends of Ibba Girls School, South Sudan. Unfortunately, because our regular giving is less than previously, we have had to reduce the amount given. We have also responded to the Turkey-Syrian Earthquake by donating to the Disasters Emergency Committee using some financial reserves. In future we are investigating the Diocesan parish links scheme with Kapsabet in Kenya and a possible link up with Compassion projects in this area. Alex Gunn and Melanie Dowden will be re-forming this group in 2023 and so if you are interested in seeing how God is working in the world and sharing in this with the community here at St Peter’s please let us know.

Community Projects
Similar to the world mission’s team, our community projects aim to help the church engage with its responsibilities in the world, but their focus is within the community in which we live. Community projects like these, and the many other ways in which our churches serve our communities, reflect the incarnational work that Jesus calls us to; looking to love and bless our neighbour in need. Thank you to the many people from across the benefice that give their time and effort to make them possible.
Fosse Foodbank

The Fosse foodbank has had another busy year with the cost-ofliving crisis impacting the number of people needing to use the foodbank.
In the last 12 months we distributed 1290 food parcels, a 23% increase on the previous year. Fortunately, donations have also increased compared to last year. We weighed in more than

22000 Kg of food over the year, an 8% increase on the year before.
Our warehouse in St. Peter’s church continues to operate twice a week on Monday and Thursday afternoons and we have a fantastic team of dedicated volunteers who keep the warehouse running smoothly and make sure our 4 centres keep stocked up with food.
The Kineton distribution centre is open every Thursday from 12.30 -2pm in St Peter’s Church. We have a great team of volunteers who welcome people who’ve been referred to the foodbank, prepare food parcels and arrange deliveries. We have a further 50 volunteers working across our 3 other centres, Southam, Wellesbourne and Bishop’s Itchington, which have all seen an increase in the number of people needing food, especially in the past 6 months.

GIFT Project
GIFT is a project that looks to help local people in need to make a fresh start by providing practical support for people in their homes, sourcing furniture and appliances, basic DIY, clearing out, cleaning and decorating, help with budgeting, mentoring support, grief counselling, and more.
We operate in Kineton and the surrounding area of South Warwickshire, providing holistic wrap-around support for people experiencing problems due to isolation, poverty, mental health and other challenges.
We work with families escaping abusive relationships, people with mental health problems, and people so overwhelmed by circumstances that they stop looking after themselves/their

accommodation, etc.
In the time she was leading the project, Fiona Scott-Dawe did some great work in getting policies and procedures in place for the project, as well as providing much needed support to a number of local people. Fiona has now stepped down from GIFT, as she is studying for a theology degree. I am very grateful for all the work she has done in developing the project.
In the last year GIFT has continued to offer practical support and had the opportunity to support several new and existing families with various urgent items of furniture, soft furnishings, white goods, decorating and home cleaning.
Huge thanks to all the volunteers that have given their time and talents to provide help with the various projects. If you’d like to get involved in this project and help in any way, then please contact me.

Cozy Café
The Cozy Café was started by the parish council to run once a week for 3 months January – March 2023, as a warm space where people could meet for a few hours and enjoy some friendly company.
St. Peter’s church offered to organise the provision of some warm soup for lunch times. Thank you to everyone from the village who volunteered to provide homemade soup for about 10 people each week. We had enough volunteers that not all were needed, and most people only had to make 1 batch.

Mothers’ Union Report 2023
The Mothers’ Union is a Christian organisation supporting families worldwide. Membership is open to anyone not just mothers! Although we no longer have a “ branch “of the Mother’s Union (MU) here at St. Peter’s, many have continued our membership of MU as diocesan members. We have continued to meet socially and have taken part in MU initiatives.
In the last year we have taken part in the following activities/events:
- Prayer – All the work of MU is underpinned by prayer!

Gifts for Mothering Sunday for those attending Coffee Tots in Coventry.

International meal in support of MU representatives from Coventry diocese who will be travelling to Kapsabet in Kenya as part of the diocesan link scheme.

Social gatherings for meals at Park Farm and Sue & Mervyn’s home

Small birthday lunch for one of our senior members at her home.

Joined with Wellesbourne MU for their informal Carol service. (We also have a copy of their programme and are welcome to join with them whenever we want).

Schools
We are very committed in our support of Kineton Primary School. We have a fantastic team of foundation governors that support the school and many other church members that volunteer as classroom helpers. We have a small team that runs regular assemblies in the school, and we welcome the school into church for festival services and the annual leavers service.
This year we also started to run festival services for the playgroup children.
A huge thank you to the many volunteers that give so much time to help the young people in our school.

Growing Community Ministries
We want to grow in our love and care for one another and we want our love and hospitality to overflow to the wider village community.
We help one another to build stronger friendships and make new ones through many different activities and events.
Growing Community Team 2022-2023
The Growing Community Team organise a calendar of social events and activities that help to make new friendships in our community.
There is no longer a specific Growing Communities Team, but those who are interested in the events are getting involved and helping to run and organise events.
I began in the role of Growing Communities Team leader in November 2022.
We organised Carols in Market Square in December 2022, this was not led by me but organised by other members of the Team. This was well attended, and everyone enjoyed the Mulled Wine, hot mice pies and singing carols. We raised £157 for the foodbank.
We organised several board games evenings in the year, one at Gilks Garage Café in June 2022 (that also raised £294 for the DEC Ukraine appeal) and two in the Swan Pub in December 2022 and March 2023. These were both enjoyed by those who attended, and everyone tried new games had fun.
Another event organised in March was for 'Shirley's Retirement do'. This had a large attendance, everyone enjoyed themselves and got involved- bringing lots of food for everyone to enjoy. Shirley had a great time and had chance to catch up with her friends.
This year we have again repeated our successful Curry Nights. There were 25 at the Ladies Curry night in April, but we don’t yet know how many men will be at the Blokes Curry night on Tuesday 23[rd] May… tune in to next year’s APCM to find out 😊😊

Other Growing Community Events
During the year there were other events designed to help bring community together, some were regular, and some were oneoffs.
Big Lunch at the Vicarage
Over the year there again were several lunches and BBQs at the vicarage for different groups in the church and sometimes for the whole church. These have been great fun with a real mix of older and younger people from our church community. Coronation Breakfast, activities and flower festival
There was a huge team effort to put on an amazing breakfast with a range family crafts and activities including Teddy Bear parachuting and the church looked was made to look amazing with some fabulous flower arrangements.
As well as having a lot of fun, we raised £450 which will be split between the Playgroup and the Scouts.
A massive thank you to so many people that came together and helped to make the event such a success.
Outlook
Outlook is a great publication in the community which helps communicate the churches messages and activities to the parish and provides a forum that helps bring the wider community of the village together. There are a number of people involved from those who produce articles, design adverts, edit each edition, find the advertisers (who fund Outlook’s production), and distribute it through the village each month.
Beverly Wright has continued to do a marvellous job as the editor of the magazine. Similarly, Chris Cartwright has continued to do sterling work in the role of advertising editor. Chris is stepping down from this role after many years of faithful service and we are extremely grateful for all she has done.
The distribution team involves many people from the village and Alex Gunn together with Elizabeth Beaumont do a great job in organising them.

Meeting Point Coffee Morning 22-23
I’m pleased to report that we continue to meet on Thursday mornings in Church from 9am to 11am during Term Time. We enjoy chatting over good fresh coffee and home-made cakes and scones. Donations given at Coffee Morning goes to support local charities. There is a good mix of age groups regularly coming along, an opportunity to catch up with friends old and new. It is a time of friendship and fellowship, all are welcome. Sally Stanton

Groups meet weekly through most of the year on; Monday evening (two groups), Wednesday afternoon (two groups), Friday afternoon and Sunday evening. This has continued to be disrupted during the second year of the pandemic. There are six groups and the number of people part of a group across the whole church is around 60. Most of the time groups choose their own programme but at certain times all the groups follow a similar programme to promote growth and cohesion across the church. Being connected regularly with others and supported through the groups has had huge benefts for some people in the last year. While others have found meeting online unsatisfactory. Groups have followed a wide variety of study material and books. Groups take on projects such as leading outreach or social action programmes. Exploring Faith 1 to 1
Do you feel as if you are stuck in a bit of a rut with your faith? Do you wish you could grow more in your knowledge and love for God?
The Exploring Faith 1 to 1 programme is a great opportunity to ask those questions about life and the Christian faith that you’ve never had the chance to ask. We’d love anyone who would like to know about, or join this valuable programme, which encourages us to grow as disciples of Jesus, to come and have a chat about being matched with one of our trained mentors.

Guided Reflection
The Guided reflection process has been designed to help people to stand back and examine their life, faith, ministries, work, etc. For those that would like to ‘take stock’, this process offers an opportunity to meet with one of the MLT to help you reflect on where you are with God, what you are doing in ministry and work, how you are connected in community, etc.
This could be a one-off meeting, but we expect that people will find it helpful to pause for a reflection like this every year or two.

The PCC met five times in person since the last APCM and conducted other business via email. Every year, one-third of the elected PCC reach the end of their three-year term and step down, the three vacant positions are then available to those on the electoral role for election.
The PCC regularly receives reports from officers or leaders of individual activities and ministries (such as the Ministry Leadership Team).
During the year the main themes of business discussed by the PCC were:

Safeguarding – A key focus remains to ensure that all those who require Safeguarding training because of their role have had that training, or are planned to have it, and that they are trained to the appropriate level.

Risk assessments – The PCC has overseen the management of risk assessments for all the activities the church undertakes. Melanie has played a lead role in this.

Youth work: We are seeking a new Families and Children’s Worker on a half-time basis. Barry is seeking grants to help with this. We are also looking to introduce

a Soft Play area; again, grants are being sought to cover initial costs.

Finances: Sue Overland stepped in as treasurer but sees her role more in book-keeping rather than providing reports to the PCC. We are still seeking someone to fulfil this role. Charity allocations were discussed. Please refer to the Treasurer’s report.

Ministry Leadership Team Report
The ministry leadership team (MLT) is a collaborative team of lay and ordained people, working together, under the authority of the PCC, to lead, envision, enable, and release all God’s people for mission and ministry in the whole of life, through the local church. We meet approximately every two months. The MLT is there to:

listen to and discern God’s will for the ministry and mission of the local church,
-
enable Christians in the community to identify, resource and develop their ministry,
-
develop sustainable patterns of ministry to support God’s mission in the world.
During the last year we have given time to supporting Barry and Alison, and all the people in our church, and have discussed a range of things relating to our ministry and mission including reviewing the away day at Radford Semele and reinstating prayer ministry in church. We have also discussed the courses that we run each term, and supported Barry with the exciting Life Keys app he has initiated and developed.
We look forward to welcoming Matthew Arnold to join us in July. The current MLT members (2023) are:

Fabric report
This year we carried out our usual general maintenance to the building and churchyards.
Our church architect, David Pendery, is currently working on producing drawings and a specification for the work needed to repair the vestry roof. Once this has been received, we will be obtaining quotes from several companies, and then obtaining relevant permissions and seeking any grants that may be available.
Our thanks to Steve Gayle and Tony Thorogood for their hard work in maintaining the churchyard. Thanks also to Tim Walker for his continued reliability at unlocking and locking the main church door.
Thanks also to Steve Keep for his help in repairing a few broken and slipped slates on the roof.

The Church of England has published two documents which underpins the Safeguarding policy and procedures adopted and implemented by St Peter’s Church.

The Diocesan Safeguarding Team support this work via their website https://www.coventry.anglican.org/safeguarding This website contains all of the documents and paperwork required for compliance with and implementation of The Church of England Safeguarding Policy.

The Diocesan Safeguarding Team also holds regular zoom support meetings with the Parish Safeguarding Officers across the Diocese.
From January 2022, The Safeguarding Learning and Development Framework came into force and the Church is now required to have a 3 year Safeguarding Learning and Development Strategy in place.
DBS checks are required every three years and I am currently contacting those who require an update.
Safeguarding training also needs to be refreshed every three years.
We are once again at this stage and therefore most individuals are now required to complete safeguarding training. Everyone involved in helping in any ministry of Church is required to complete Basic training , this can be accessed online at https://safeguardingtraining.cofeportal.org
I would be grateful if individuals could log on to this and follow the instructions to complete the training. The diocese will keep a record of this and therefore records will be updated accordingly, this will make life easier for individual’s personal records and also church records ensuring we are up to date and compliant with training.
Individuals involved with leading teams and activities are required to also complete Foundation training following completion of the Basic module. Once again, I would be grateful if those individuals this applies to could access the training portal and complete the training.
Some Church Officers are also required to complete other safeguarding training such as leadership courses, Domestic abuse, Modern Slavery, radicalisation, and refugee safeguarding training.

Safeguarding is at the heart of our Christian faith and therefore actions the Church takes need to ensure a safer culture by seeking to be all inclusive, promote the welfare of everyone and protect those at risk by preventing the opportunity for any form of abuse to occur.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in the Church family for all their enthusiasm and support in helping to implement and follow Safeguarding policy and procedures. It is reassuring to know we are all aiming to promote a safer church and community. Thank you.

Electoral Roll Report 2022/23
There hasn’t been a great deal of Electoral Roll activity this year. We are still live streaming our Sunday Morning Services and some people are still opting to watch at home rather than come into the church building with the lingering aftereffects of Covid!
Some new couples have joined the church, which is lovely and even better is the growing success of Simply Celebrate on the 1[st] Sundays of the month which attracts many children and their parents. Also, the new Sunday School is proving popular too! We have also had many Baptisms on 1st Sundays which are always great occasions!
The overall effect on the Electoral Roll has been:
4 people left the area and 9 new people joined which gives a nett increase of 5 and takes the Roll to exactly 100!

In connection with my examination of the church funds, nothing came to my attention which gave me cause to believe otherwise than that the financial statements accord with the accounting records of the church, and that those records satisfied the requirements of the Act. I am not aware of any matter to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the financial statements to be reached.
