**ALBILAADI COMMUNITY AND EDUCATION CENTRE LIMITED TRUSTEES’ REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2024**
The trustees present their report and the financial statements for the year ended 31 March 2024.
## **Objective**
The charitiy is established in particular for the benefit of Somali community to advance the education of the public by provision of such services, facilities or funding as the trustees may from time determine to relieve financial hardship of peoples in Somalia through provision of grants of money and services to advance education and training and relieve unemployment with a view to improving conditions of life to preserve and protection of good health by the provision of advice, guidance and seminars and workshops
## **Legal structure**
The organisation is a charitable company registered as a charity on 24 July 2017.
## **Financial statements**
The trustees, who are also directors of the charitable company, submit their trustees’ report and financial statements for the year ending 31 March 2024.
## **Risk(s) review:**
The trustees have recently reviewed the major risks faced by the charity. This has resulted in efforts to increase charity's donor base.
## **Statement of trustees' responsibilities**
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose at any time the financial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Companies Act 2006. The trustees oversee preparation of financial statements, select suitable accounting policies and make judgments and estimates that are reasonable and prudent to give the true state of affairs of the charity. Trustees are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity. They are elected and replaced as set out in the Memorandum and Articles of Association.
## **Principal activities**
The charity's principal activity during the period was; Educational support services
## **Auditors**
The Charity is not subject to audit, however Thames Accountants & Co. are the reporting Accountants.
This report was approved by the board on 31 December 2024 and signed on its behalf.

As described on the balance sheet you are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements for the year ended 31 March 2024 as set out on pages 3 to 7 and you consider that the company is exempt from an audit under section 476 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

## **1. ACCOUNTING POLICIES**
## **Basis of preparation of financial statements**
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective January 2015) and include the results of the company’s operations, which are described in the Directors’ Report.
## **Turnover**
Income comprises the invoiced value of services rendered by the company, exclusive of Value Added Tax and trade discounts.
## **Tangible fixed assets and depreciation**
Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost or valuation less depreciation. Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost or valuation of fixed assets, less their estimated residual value; over their expected useful life on the following basis.
