c￿er51￿ht of the Acadèrny is provbded by tho trustees atK>ve conslst•ni with the Constitutbon
of the Academy. The Academy Is 00. The Chairman and Secretarynreasur•r ar• actively
involved in the manag&ment of the Academy. Trustees are clected by the members. Whilst
unchan8ed for this period, at the time of writing two trustees have recently stood down and
we have appointed one new trustee.
As a 8oxin8 Academy thè H•ad Coach (Andy Gill) Is responsible for the developm*nt and
mana8ement of the coachva and l)oxers.
The Academy is affiliated to England Boxin8 and follows all rdevant 8uidelines provided.
Objectives and Activities
In Summary they are to provide an affordable Amateur Boxin8 AGryderny to benefit tho
cornmunities surroundin% Arn•r3ham, Buckin8hafflshirL, consistent with the guldance
provided by Eneland Boxing. The benefits which boxing can brin8 to the less advantag&d in
sooety are well document￿ and understood.
In the context of this year the obj•rtiv•s whith we have been workin8 to remain unchanged
but frustratin8ly we have yet to rebuild adivity levels to those seen before the pandemic.
(￿r objectives indude:
MaintaininR an income stream through affordable membership. substrlptlons and
sponsorship which matthe5 our operating costs

Dev&lopin8 our cojthing staff to provide high quallty ttthnical boxln8 tuitlon to all
Identifying and devcloping IQGII boxin8 talent
Providing competition opportunities for Our England Boxing registered boxer5
Achlévements and Perforniance
As noted above activity levels have not fully recovered to pre pand¥mic levels and remain
broadly Ivvel with the previous yéar. We hav¥ potential to 8row wrth the facilitie5 we have.
Crucially, thc amateur boxepi have recovered better than our boxfft das5e5 where the local
mJrket for CrossFrt trainin8 remains very competitive. As our new 8roup of boxers h45
doveloped we have resumed competitive bouts at En&l3rtd Boxing shows and we w•re able
to host our Evolvc d5nner show at the Crowne PIAza hotel in Marlow. The proceéds
were relftv&sted in the club to fund a n¥w boxine rln8 and replacement of a number of ba85
Si8nificantly, wo have retained a 5tr0n£ Evolve family ethos which our l>oxer5 respect and
value.
At a more granular level:
Financial
In the current y•Jr our financial reserves have improved rnar8inally by arouftd £3k. The
financial hiRhliRht was Our inaugural dlnnér %how. The flnan(iJl risk was underwritten by
générous donations and the event was a financial Success. This wa5 crucial as we Continue to
pay comrn*rcial rent on the unit. During the course of the year this did reduce from
£2400/month to £2￿/month and we are currently ne8OtiatinK a new lease with rent levels
unchanKed. Whilst year end reserves of j￿￿t under £1Sk are lower than we Would thoose,
we ar* rea50nabty confident we can maintain adequaie reserves. We remain fortunate that
we retain loni tarm financial Supporters of the academy. one of whom has recently becorne
trustee. It remains important to note that our base income from 5ub5criptions still does
not Ccmir the commercial rent we pay on the unit Inuoasln8 activity levels ￿MaInS our top
priority for financial as well as boxing reasons.
Trustees. mana8ernent team and staff are all unpaid volunteors. All reasonable exp•rtse5
clairned arc paid but this remairted low in the current y••r.
Coothing and B￿n9
During th? period wé havo retained our head coach and have been supported by an
additional level I coach. We can also Call on our retired amateur boxers so our coachin£
b•nch strensth is not of concern. We Corninue to Support coaches to 8el their EB
qualifications. The highli8ht of our year was the Evofve dinner show and the boxin8 card was
large￿ filled with Evolve boxers. It was a wonderful eveninA for our young and dÉvelopin8
boxers and will hopefully remain an annual event for us in th• future.
Whilst outslde the scope of the academy and as noted in last years report som• of our
experienced amateur boxers have turned prof•ssional with considerable success. They

remain under the tutela8e of head coach Andy Gill and that association 15 dearly benoflcl?I
to the academy. OF particular note is the approach we take to the development of our m05t
promisin8 talcnt who now receiv& a much more iailored approach. Whi15t not unique to
Evolvc. fow club5 are able to invest the Lime and expertise that we do.
Equipment and Infra5tnthre
With the support of our SPOnx>r5 and donation5 in pr•viou5 year5 wc already h<id a gym
whith was very well equipped and configured for boxing. Noneth¥le55 we have invèsted
again this year with a new rin8 and rcplacernent of many boxinE bags. We are very proud of
our facilities. Thp. Rym 15 5ecuro with a viewing area for porents and CCTV throughout. All our
coaches and volunteers underso DBS checks and training on First Aid and SafeRuiirdin8 50
we are confident that we un provldé a 54fe and secure environment for all. Our Policies
and Procedures are in line with the 8uidance given by En8land Boxlng.
