Rospectlvo responslbllltles of Trustee and Examlnor
The Charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The Charity's trustees consider that
an audit is not required for Ihis year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 {the Charities Act) and that an
independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to-
examine the accounts under sectlon 145 of the Charities Act,
to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section
1445)(b) of the Charities A¢t', and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of Independènt Examinèrs Report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An
examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by ihe Charity and a comparison of the accounts
present with those records. 11 also includes consideration of any unusual ttems or disclosures in the accounts,
and seeking explanations from you as Trustees conceming any such matters. The procedures undertaken do
not provide all the eviden¢p that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to
whether the accounts present a 'true and fair. view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the
ststement below.
Independent Examiners Statement
In connection with my examination, no material matters have come to my attention vthich gives me cause to

Bishop's Stortford Community Centres Trust CIO
Chairman's Report 2024
l am pleased to present the Chaiman's report for year ending 31 St March 2024. This
was a busy year for the trust as we continued to run and invest in our three
community centres; making sure they remain an important and popular facility for the
community.
Some of the year's improvements include repairing the roof and decking at Havers
Community Centre and painting the outside of the building at St Micheals Mead
Community Centre.
Costs continue to rise, however thanks to the hard work of the Town Council and
Trustees, l am pleased to say we finished the year with £118,034 which is only
slightly down on the year before.
I would like to thank my fellow trustees for their continued support, especially during
this difficult period, their hard work and dedication has meant we are prepared for the
retum of normality and able to continue to offer first class venues to our hirers.
Finally I would also like to thank the Town Council Team who continue to support
and help with bookings, finan￿ and other matters.
John Wyllie
