Bishop’s Stortford Community Centres Trust CIO

Chairman’s Report

2020/2021 was a difficult year for the Trust due to Covid. Our income from hirers was significantly reduced due to both centres being closed much of the time due to lockdown.

Trustees met virtually throughout the pandemic and took decisions that reduced expenditure throughout the year.

We were lucky to receive a Government Covid Revenue Grant for both centres and this as well as the trustees decisions taken meant we ended the financial year with £78,353 in the bank - an increase of £1,501

I would like to thank my fellow trustees for their continued support, especially during this difficult period, their hard work and dedication has meant we are prepared for the return of normality and able to continue to offer first class venues to our hirers.

I would also like to thank our colleagues at Bishops Stortford Town Council who continued to support us throughout the year and made sure the centres were Covid ready when we did re-open.
