ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE

Hope is continuing to maintain a strong and ongoing relationship with its local community, providing ongoing training sessions either on a 1-2-1 basis or in small virtual groups. Since the loss of jobs during covid 19 we continue to offer training programs for those who are looking for new employment to online virtual training with groups. We still continue to support clients who need telephone support with parenting challenges. The training we currently provide are: Life Coaching, Parenting Tips and Employability Job Training.

Hope is now in a position to offer counselling sessions with qualified therapists. Hope also offer Mediation and Advocacy services with professionals where the support is needed as we no longer have to signpost.

Hope continues to provide food parcels to families in its local area who have found it difficult to “make ends meet”. Hope have supported over 150 families with food parcels. Families continue to ranged from single parents to parents who have extended family members living with them and could have up to 5 children.

Along with food parcels, we have also provided items of furniture to families in need. Hope have given away bedding and clothing. These opportunities arise almost on a weekly basis as there was a great need within our community. Hope continues to reach out to families. Hope have also continued to purchase white goods for families in need where they have had no recourse to public funding within their local community.

Hope’s referrals are coming from several areas such as the local church and family centres within the local area and walk ins from the local community. Our services are being promoted on the Hope website and the attendance of local virtual networking meetings provided by other charities.

Finally, we have reduced out home visits due to covid 19 but have continue to offer virtual visits where appropriate.
