## **Annual Report – Period 2020-21** 

## **Overview** 

The Trustees are presenting their Annual Report including current financial position for the period 01/04/20 to 31/03/2021. The report is an overview of the activities for the period. For the purposes of this report we are providing a statement of income and expenditure under the heading Finance Report. All other annual Charity Commission EQSD legal or administrative information has been updated online therefore separated from this report. Details can be viewed by visiting the Charity Commission website. 

## **Objectives and Activities** 

The Enhancing Qualifications and Social Development (EQSD) promotes social inclusion of predominantly disadvantaged Black and Minority Ethnic people living within Leicester City and Leicestershire, through the provision of education, employability services, training, economic, community and social development 

## **Public Benefit, Achievements and Performance** 

The 2020-21 year, is a year one would rather forget. The Covid pandemic year stopped variety of routine activities across the world as well as our own activities and developments. In effect we were not able to function as UK Government restrictions meant we had to stop charitable functions to prevent risk to our volunteers, service users, wider society and ourselves.  While in the vast majority we did, we still supported some of our most vulnerable service users with meals, homelessness prevention, criminal justice processes and information, advice and signposting for support around various Covid schemes the Government had implemented to protect jobs/income of workers and self-employed alike. There were no other activities.  We hope to report better outcomes next year should the unpredictable circumstances surrounding us allow. 

## **Financial Report** 

During the period there was no significant expend or fundraising. The only change was that CAF Bank increased bank charges from £5 to £8 in January 2021.  Therefore the expenditure balance statement for year is as follows.
