Minutes 0f AGM 14/10/2022

Welcome to all members by current chairman Michael Coe. Last years minutes read & approved by all members.
Treasurers report-Figures were passed round to all members to read & explained by Alan Larkin current treasurer. He thanked everyone for their financial support, all who attended fetes & made goods to sell. Reminded all members receipts needed to balance books & for auditing purposes. Accounts have not yet been audited.

Resignations by current committee. Nominations for chairman were Michael Coe & Tony Rainbird. They left the room while a vote was taken. The majority vote was for Michael Coe to continue as chairman. The members agreed that we should have a vice chairman. Robin proposed Paul Brown, seconded by myself Paul accepted the role. I resigned as secretary, Tony Rainbird offered to take on role accepted. Alan to stay as treasurer.
Trustees-Lyn resigned but will stay on the committee as a fifth member for fundraising.
Trustees are Mary, Tony Rainbird, David, Terry Powley & Michael Coe. Shed-Alan proposed Charlie as shed manager which he accepted. Stuart suggested to be deputy but not present so will have to be asked. Members should be doing own risk assessment, & only using machinery if competent. Paul Brown suggested book for members to sign to say they have been shown how to use machinery. Kindling needs to be done to sell, look into the cost of safety visors.
AOB-Subs were discussed suggestion made to be put up to £50, vote was taken to keep to £30 & keep float & pay for tea & coffee.
Tony Rainbird suggested small working group to look at website/ social media. First aid & fire training discussed being looked into.
Nearest defibs Earsham village hall & Grumpy's. Adrian wanted to thank everyone for their warm welcome to the club. Steve Gillham wanted to thank Stuart & his friend John, for helping to put up the greenhouse & also to the members who helped move it. Any suggestions for the website please send to Neil.
Dates for your diary-6th November 11-3 craft fair Ditchingham village hall. Guess the name of the elf.
3rd December-Grumpy's christmas stall 10-6 so help definately needed there. Christmas meal will be either at the flixton buck or the kings head as last year menus will be in shed this week.
