Ilm Tree Foundation primarily focuses on its core charitable activity, which involves running a weekend Islamic supplementary school. This school serves as a vital platform for providing education to students about their faith, fostering a deeper understanding of Islamic principles, traditions, and values. While the emphasis is on religious education, the organisation goes a step further in its mission by promoting the development of well-rounded individuals who can contribute positively to the broader society.

**Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit)**

The educational program extends beyond religious teachings. Students are encouraged to not only understand and practice their faith but also to become exemplary British citizens. To achieve this, Ilm Tree Foundation integrates community engagement, social projects, and various activities into the curriculum. This multifaceted approach ensures that students are not only well-versed in Islamic teachings but also equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to be responsible and active members of the broader British community.

Trustees have complied with the duty in section 4 of the Charities Act 2006 and have due regard to the public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission.

This year, Ilm Tree Foundation has successfully rebounded to preCOVID student enrolment levels. This achievement underscores the organisation's resilience and adaptability in overcoming challenges. It also reflects the continued trust and support from the community, as well as the charity’s commitment to providing quality education to children.

Section D Achievements and performance

## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

Establishing a vibrant weekend Islamic Supplementary School: Ilm Tree Foundation has successfully established and maintained a thriving weekend Islamic supplementary school, providing a valuable educational resource for students seeking to deepen their understanding of their faith. Promoting Faith and Values: Through the supplementary school, we have been successful in imparting essential Islamic teachings and values to students, ensuring that they have a strong foundation in their faith. This year, Ilm Tree Foundation has not only achieved a return to preCOVID student enrolment levels but has also successfully resumed its community initiatives led and planned by students. These activities include food bank collections, charity drives, nursing home visits, litter pick campaigns, and various other endeavors that empower students to become socially responsible British citizens. This resumption of community engagement underscores the organisation's commitment to holistic education, instilling not only religious values but also a sense of social responsibility and active citizenship in its students. It demonstrates the foundation's dedication to shaping a generation of individuals who are not only deeply rooted in their faith but are also actively engaged in making positive contributions to the broader British community
