PENARTH TOWN TRUST
ANNUAL REPORT 2021-2022
Penarth Town Trust has had largely a year of evaluation and a proposed change of direction. There have been no potential Project buildings available therefore, the services we had hoped to run from the building have in part been set up as individual Environmental Projects by two Charities in the town, namely Penarth Civic Society and Gwyrddio Penarth Greening. There are several small individual Community Projects that are affiliated to these Charities. We are currently looking to link with local groups and Charities via our Website
We have decided to launch our re-designed website as a Natural Environment ‘Signposter’ to inform on National Initiatives and Natural Environmental information that could potentially operate in the Town.
We have had several ideas for informing the Community from the Website. Twinning with another town or city to ensure Nature and Climate Crisis is addressed is being researched since the crisis is a National Emergency that has to be resolved both locally and Nationally. Bristol 24/7 is a digital platform that we might connect with. One of our Trustees has links with Natural Green Providers and we hope to possibly create a suggested `Natural Green Vision’ of how we can live in the future. This would be made visible on a local basis that is formed from local ideas and National information.
We hope to engage the Community as a whole by linking our Website and Social Media Channels. These are now run by the same Website Co-ordinator of Penarth Civic , Penarth Town Trust and Gwyrddio Penarth Greening to maximise Connectivity, Communication and Engagement across the town.
One of our Trustees have retired and we have had initial conversations with a proposed Trustee that would concentrate on communication with The Charity Commission and assist with Event Co-ordination.
We are looking to innovatively fund raise in the year ahead in order to create a sustainable income for the Trust.
