## **ANNUAL REPORT – PENARTH TOWN TRUST - 1173747** Covid 19 has severely impacted upon the future plans of The Trust. There has been no activity since PTT were unable to run both information and fundraising events due to Covid restrictions. Due to the uncertainty in the current climate, we have decided to concentrate on developing our website. Volunteers have been approached and we hope to build a Team that will both refresh information and maintain the website and Social Media channels. The website we hope to use as a tool for Community Engagement, Education and Fundraising purposes. We also hope to build a strong membership base. We also continue to look for suitable buildings or Project spaces. We have approached a local group of churches to run an ‘Eco Chapel’. This would run from a Cemetery Chapel that is currently being refurbished and converted into a Community Centre by the local Town Council. Whilst the Churches in Penarth (CYTUN) would operate a Nature based Sunday School using the mediums of song and play, we would work in Partnership and ensure the grounds of the Chapel become a Natural Environment `Hands- on’ Learning/Education space. The Council have placed Nesting and Hedgehog boxes; They also have ground staff that maintain the site. We would like to set up Partnerships between CYTUN, the Council and Ourselves to enable this project to happen. Volunteers would be trained and supervised. These proposals are set to be discussed by CYTUN in February at their next meeting. 2022 will hopefully enable us to build a sound financial base to support Projects and create sustainable strands of income.
