Chairs report
The recent period has been a busy and rewarding one for Jigsaw Youth Theatre, and I am pleased to report on the positive progress and achievements of the group.
Our latest production, a festive presentation of Cinderella the Musical , was met with an extremely positive response from audiences. The show highlighted the talent, confidence, and creativity of our young performers and reflected the strong sense of teamwork within the group. It was encouraging to see the young people supporting one another and taking pride in delivering such an enjoyable and high-quality performance.
In addition to our productions, we have continued to prioritise fundraising and community engagement. An Easter Interactive Theatre Fun Event was held, offering a mix of theatrical activities and audience participation. This event was well attended, successfully raised funds, and provided an excellent opportunity to introduce new families to Jigsaw Youth Theatre and the work that we do.
We also took part in the Black Country Boating Festival, where we raised further funds and promoted the group through a variety of theatre-inspired games and activities. This event enabled us to reach a wider audience and strengthen our presence within the local community, engaging with people who may not previously have been aware of youth theatre opportunities.
We are extremely grateful to have received generous donations from the Worcester Freemasons and Charities Trust. Their support has made a meaningful contribution to the ongoing development of Jigsaw Youth Theatre and helps ensure we can continue to provide creative, inclusive, and high-quality opportunities for young people. Funding of this kind is essential in supporting our activities and long-term sustainability.
The group has continued to grow, and we are delighted to welcome four new members. Their enthusiasm and commitment have already had a positive impact, and it is encouraging to see the continued interest in Jigsaw Youth Theatre.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our volunteers, leaders, parents, and supporters for their continued dedication and hard work. Their time, energy, and commitment are fundamental to the success of the group. I look forward to the coming months as we continue to build on this progress and expand the creative opportunities available to young people.
