At 31 March 2025..
Restricted funds: £9,302

Unexpected essential costs, including maintenance and operational need5 following the site'5 restOTation, impacted the

The main income sources during the year were:
- National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) grant claims
- Public donations
- Income from the Cafe, column climbs, and other berilage engagement activAties
Cashflo
As th¢ NLHF r¢imburses only 650/0 of ¢ligible expenditur¢, the Trust must Cash-flow the remaining 350/y. Thi5 requirement

The improvements to property r¢lat¢ to the costs of the complet¢ r¢storation of the Marquess of Anglesey's
Column and sU￿oundIng area and are writt¢n off in the year th¢y are incurred as due to ils n?￿re it is not d¢emed
appropriate to have a carrying value.
Once the restoration has been completed any financially based valuation would b¢ misleading to the value and
significance of the historical monument.
Further more the costs incurred. if a valuation could b¢ obtained, would bc disproportionate in terms of benefits
derived either by th¢ company or to uscrs of tb¢ fmancial statements.
The truste¢s b¢li¢ve that should 2 disproportionally large amount bc intn)duced into the fmancial 5tatem¢nts this
could giv¢ a misleading impression of thc assets wealth and act a disinc¢ntiv¢ to potential donors.
Thc company aims to Tnaintain the Marquess of Anglescy's Column and surrounding area in good repair and has
a duty of care to these assets and to make them available for public b¢nefit.
On¢e the restoration is ¢ompl¢t¢ any ongoing costs of associat¢d repair and conseryation will be included in the
Stalem¢nt of Financial Activities in th¢ year that they are incurred.
