The Trustees of the charity present their annual report and financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31[st] March 2021. The Trustees have adopted the provisions of the statements of Recommended Practice (SORP) ‘Accounting and reporting by charities’ issued in March 2005 in preparing the report and financial statement of the charity.
Structure, Governance and Management
Elshaddai My Helper is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation formed on 5[th] July 2017 and has now commence active operation.
The charity is controlled by its governing document and by a board of trustees. Trustees are appointed on the basis of the contribution that they will make to the governance of the organisation and the skills that they

will contribute. They are provided with the copies of the Charity Commissions’ guidance to Trustees and the constitution.
Objectives, activities and achievements:
The objectives for which the charity is established as set out in its governing documents are:
The relief of poverty and provision of assistance to the adults present with homelessness in Hackney, Stratford and in Nigeria:
Assist by supply of food, clothing and related items
Providing assistance and advice to like-minded charity groups.
These objectives are charitable and operate for the benefits of the members of public.
Financial Review:
The total income during the financial year 31[st] March 2020 is £2780.00
The total expenditure during the financial year 31[st] March 2020 is £ 2124.66
Donations are from trustee members, friends and families. In addition, to the financial donation, trustees’ members and friends also contributed goods (snacks, toiletries, socks, winter gloves etc.) for the outreach and Christmas presents. Christian Kitchen (CK) also provides starters soup.
Meetings : We have meetings during the year including:

Trustees were given update of the last few month’s activities.

Elshaddai only operate in Walthamstow CK at present due to the impact of Covid19 in the country.

2 separate ladies sponsors Food/drinks for May/June: Birthday celebrations

Volunteer /son (J) now prepares Cake and Fruits cocktails/drinks

Toiletries: were provided by the two ladies as part of Birthday Celebrations

In addition to the above mentioned information, another Volunteer A: volunteer to provides drinks

Food/toiletries/ are packs into bags to reduced contact

Soup prepared by CK. Already packed in cups

1 person in a bus rather than 2 people to hand out prepared food and soup

1 person outside the van handling out drinks

Social distance was encouraged among members

Packs given out no swings from 35-44,
Significant Events :
- Fewer volunteers due to the effect of covid19 ranging from 2 volunteers to 4 volunteers. This is adequate due to the new methods of pre packed foods. When there are limited no of 2Elshaddai volunteers, Christian Kitchen volunteers are also present to assist us.
Christmas Outreach:

Trustees contributed towards buying the presents but this year, one of the volunteer’s friends and families donated pre packed present ( see picture)

One elderly lady (friend) and a volunteer knitted for the service users as part of Christmas presents.

General

A volunteer continue cooking for the Walthamstow Outreach – this leads to meals costing reducing to about half.

As mentioned before, we have not been able to resume outreach to Stratford or to start plan outreach to Hackney.

We have not been above to resume clothes/shoes distribution due to the impact of covid19.
Activities of the charity :
Walthamstow: Once a month: We use CK Mobile van to serve 3 course meal, toiletries, socks and Christmas gifts.
Stratford: (once a month) Suspended
Volunteers: During this financial year, apart from the 2 Trustee members, we also had about 5 volunteers (stable between 2-4)
Service users: 40+ adults that presents with homelessness, including rough sleepers (males and females). However, some service users collect food/packs for their friends and family members.

Building/Venue:
Walthamstow: The charity does not have its own building; however, we serve the service users under the umbrella of Christian Kitchen once a month and uses its Mobile van and Church Hall to arrange prepared meals and packs. Soup are prepare by CK volunteer and co-ordinator.
Stratford: Suspended
Trustees Responsibility:
Trustees are responsible for preparing the annual report and the financial statement, including keeping proper accounting records.
