**Objects:** THE CHARITABLE PURPOSE OF THE U3A IS:TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND IN PARTICULAR THE EDUCATION OF PEOPLE NOT IN FULL TIME GAINFUL EMPLOYMENT WHO ARE IN THEIR THIRD AGE (BEING THE PERIOD OF TIME AFTER THE FIRST AGE OF CHILDHOOD DEPENDENCE AND THE SECOND AGE OF FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT AND/OR PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY) RESIDING IN CHURCHDOWN AND ITS SURROUNDING LOCALITY.

**Activities:** Members form Interest Groups and, through sharing their knowledge, skills and experience, learn from each other. Current groups include  Art History; Book Club; Bridge; Choir;  Cinema; Cookery; Craft; Cribbage;  Gardening ; Garden Visits; Family  History; Ladybirds,  Italian; Lunch Club; Petanque;  Photography; Politics; Scrabble; Cribbage;  Table Tennis; Theatre and Trips;  Walking; Whist;  Yoga.
