Annual report for Wilby RDA September 2020- August 2021 

During this year we have had limited opportunity to offer hands on riding sessions due to the restrictions of COVID 19  with the government regulations. 

We managed to put together a pathway of return with the approval of our risk assessment by our national body of Riding for the Disabled and our insurers. Unfortunately  there was more restrictions put in place in our area, then another lockdown. 

During this time we have been working on supporting our families through newsletters; sharing support resources and a safe space to share stories and achievements. 

Alongside this we have had the responsibility of care of our four specialist ponies ensuring they are ready to return to work when we are allowed to. With the uncertainty of the pathway to return to riding we reduced the number of ponies we cared for to two. In July 2021, our founders, retired after 30 years. The foundations they created, and the longevity of wonderful work meant that the team were able to relaunch in their honour to take the group forward for another 30 years, and longer. 

During the summer of 2021 we worked on our relaunch for Autumn 2021- ensuring that the service will be provided within the current covid regulations and meeting the participants and families current needs.
