**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE:(1) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN WOOL AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE PROVISION OF A LENDING LIBRARY;(2) TO FURTHER OR BENEFIT THE RESIDENTS OF WOOL AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD, WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID RESIDENTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE RESIDENTS.

**Activities:** Friends of Wool Library supports the operation of the Community Library in Wool which serves the population of Wool, Dorset and the surrounding area. As well as book loans, the library runs activity sessions for children under 11 during the summer holidays, assists the RVS with the Home Library Service to the housebound, and works with the Parish Council to provide a service to the Parish.
