**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE:TO ADVANCE IN LIFE AND HELP YOUNG PEOPLE LIVING IN DURHAM CITY (AND THE SURROUNDING AREA) THROUGH:(A) THE PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES PROVIDED IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE, DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE;(B) PROVIDING SUPPORT AND ACTIVITIES WHICH DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN SOCIETY AS MATURE AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS.

**Activities:** The project aims to provide experiences and opportunities both social and educational to young people who are deemed to be disadvantaged and prone to "at risk" behaviour. DCYP supports young people from all areas of County Durham and helps to develop their social and emotional capabilities.
