While our strategic alliance with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority Violence Reduction Unit IGMCA
VRUI provides the vital framework for early intervention and youth violence prevention across Oldham, the true
pulse of our work is felt in our daily activities. At Oldham Greenhill Community Sports and Recreation Club,
broad strategic concepts like "diversiy, and "community cohesion are translated Into reality through weekly
Cooking, sewing, sport, and wellness Sessions. This report highlights the specific, ground-level participation
tracked across our core neighbourhood provisions as detailed in our project registers, showcasing the children.

2. A Week In the Life: Core Weekly Registrations & Attendance
Our weekly timetable creates a Consistent anchor for the community, ensuring that from Monday morning to
Sunday afternoon, there is a safe, warm, active and structured space for everyone.
Adult Wellbeing, Skills & Lifelong Learning
The Wellbeing Cohort: Our dedicated adult wellbeing circle supported a core group of over 20 local
residents, providing regular health check-ins and peer support networks.
Sewing & Textile8 (Tuesdays): A highly popular skills-based session engaging 8 regular cohort of 15
women, comblnlng practical textile training with cross-cultural social connection.
Cooking & Baking streams (Nondays & Thursdays/Fridaysl: Operating 8cross split sessions (including
morning and afternoon blocks led by coaches and community staffl, these sessions focus on budget-
friendly, healthy nutrition lor our participants.
Wednesday Recovery Circle: Run in partnership with dedic8ted pr8Ctitioners, including links with
turning-point Services, this vital safe space offers direct supportfor mental health. anxiety, and recovery,
consistently welcoming regular attendees from the local area.
Holistic Physical H881th.' The Yoga Rogisters
Our targeted yog8 progr8mmes have expanded remarkably across three distinct neighbourhood footprints,
m8king gentle physical activity and mental relaxation accessible to women who face significant cultural barrlers
to mainstream titness..
Maln Club Yoga truesdaysl.. Our largest cohort with 38 registered women, supporting residents wlth
chronic health conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure.
Grace Yoga twednesdaysl.. SeNing 23 registered Ioc8lwomen.
Coppice Yoga Outreach IThursdaysl.' A d66ply impacttLJI locali8gd provision with 38 registered
participants, providing vital 8upport to local residents.
3. Youth Pathways: Safe Evenlngs & Struetured Weekends
In direct alignment with VRU priorities, our youth club registers demonstrate a targeted approach to keeping
young people safe, active, and off the streets during peak hours of vulnerablllty.

aged 13-18 from across the OL4, OL8, and OL9 postcodes. This group engages key local teent)gers,
giving them a positive outlet and direct mentorship from our coaching staff.
Girls Youth Club (Sundays).. A vibrant session dedicated to young glrls aged 7-13, fostering peer support
and confidence among the children attending.
Satuyday Mini & Mega Ballers.. Egrly-years movement and multi-sports development sessions startlng
from 18 months up to 12 years old, ensuring a continuous pathway of positive engagement from early
childhood through to adolescence.
4. Hollday Camps: Sustalned Communitysupport
Our seesonal camps ensure that when schoo18 close, our support for families intensifies, mitigatingthe risks ol
holiday hunger and unstructured street-based activity.

Our registers show a highly coordinated, multi-activity delivery model across our holiday camps, balancing
affordable subsidised slots1£10-£151 with fully supported spaces.
May Camp Cohort: This camp successfully engaged a diverse mix of local primary and secondary
student8 from regional schools like Coppice Primary School.
F8mily-Centred Engagement: A key highlight of our impact is seeing brothers and sisters attending
together. By providing a shared space for siblings of different ages and genders, we Significantly ease the
logistical and financial strain on local parents, while embedding valu8s of Kindness and mutual
responsibility 8cr08s generational lines.
5. From Regist8rs to Saf8r Street8
Every attendance represents an hour where a child was safe. an adult was learning a new skill, or a vulnerable
resident was receivingvital wellness support.
By ensuring our multi-sports, camps, and youth clubs remain aflordable, deeply rooted In the neighbourhood,
and intensely welcomlng, we feod directly into the overarching goals of the GMCA VRU programmo. We are
Immensely proud of our staff, our volunteers, and above all. the resilient residents of Oldham who make up the
