Section D Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

The focus this year has been the same as previous year which is on raising funds from family and friends from church and the faith community to help sponsor a child and provide funds for more displaced children, many of which are orphans.

The growth has been difficult due to increasing challenging financial environment and not enough dedicated time within the current trustees who have challenging careers and are volunteers. The focus will be to help grow the trustees to increase capacity to carry out additional duties.

We are currently paying for a website domain which requires development, we were unable to find a suitable volunteer from the previous years. This remains a key priority.

Note 15 Additional Disclosures

The following are significant matters which are not covered in other notes and need to be included to provide a proper understanding of the accounts. If there is insufficient room here, please add a separate sheet.

Complete control of the account was within the powers of the Trustees and no non-related charity activity in the account took place during this period, the only management costs were £23 spent on upkeep on website domain for the charity as disclosed in the SOFA.

45% of income was funded by active Trustees compared to 45% in the previous year which is consistent with continuity. A £3,000 loan was repaid to a trustee in year to provide hospital care for sick child as gift aid was credited back to the account the following month. This was declared in the previous years accounts.

The Trustees will look to continue to build on its sponsor a children programme and develop its website to serve its constitutional objectives.
