Summary of the Maln Achievements of the Charity for the Year
The charity wasn't able to organise the number of fundraising events that it would usually have done
due to the Covid restrictions, but some fundraising did go on.
We received £IO,OOOfrom the StJames Place Foundation for outdoor play equipment which was
installed in October 2020 and a parents employed at Direct Line nominated FOH as their charity of the
month and we received £5.000. One ofthe trustees secured £3.000 from Assura for outdoor play
equipment and another trustee raised £1,000 from the West Bromwich Building Society for the
playschemes, £400 from Neighbourly and £1,500 from the M6 Toll Foundation for outdoor play
equipment. Asda and Blakemores donated £300 and £100 respectively which was used to pay for
playschemes in the Easter and Summer holidays. We received £l,SOO from Birmingham Voluntary
Services Council for Covid response which we used on food and learning supplies for our most
vulnerable families. The Sir John Middlemore Trust gave us £1.800 for the playschemes.
In previous years the Handsworth Lions Clubs have sUPPOrted u5 at events but this time they very
generously gave donations to the sum of £853.
The charity supported parents through the playschemes at Easter, May half term, summer and
Christmas and we provided hampers, food bags and play resources as well.
