Report of the Trustees

The Trustees present their report and financial statements for the year ended 31 May 2025.

The financial statements comply with current statutory requirements, the Memorandum and articles of association and the Statement of Recommended Practice - Accounting and Reporting by Charities (Charities SORP FRS 102).

Structure, governance & management

The organisation is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, registered as a charity on 14 June 2017.

The company was established under a charitable constitution which established the objects and powers of the charitable company and is governed under the constitution.

All Trustees give their time voluntarily and receive no benefits from the charity. Any expenses reclaimed from the charity are set out in the accounts.

The Trustees review the aims, objectives and activities of the charity each year. This report looks at what the charity has achieved and the outcomes of its work for the 12 months in the year ending 31 May 2025. The Trustees report the success of each key activity and the benefits the charity has brought to those groups of people that it is set up to help. The review also helps the Trustees ensure the charity's aims, objectives and activities remain focused on its stated purposes.

Objectives and activities

Streets4Christ aims to promote awareness and combat hunger, poverty, and suffering amongst the homeless and low waged community, by working with others to empower individuals and communities to effect change in the distribution of food and resources.

The relief of poverty of persons who are in conditions of need, hardship and distress, in particular but not exclusively by:

1) The provision of food, other nourishment, clothing and other items
2) The provision of information, advice and assistance to empower them to address their circumstances.
3) Working with other organisations and charities providing similar services and support.

The Trustees

3 of our recent trustees, Minnie Traynor, Merrecher Tulloch and Alita Currithers, who have served faithfully since the organisation became a charity in 2017, were asked to give us a few words about their time overseeing Streets4Christ.

Minnie Traynor - As Co-Founder of S4C it has been my absolute pleasure to serve

the community. It has not come without challenges, but a ;Wt \ challenges that have brought about personal growth and \/ development, as well as the development of the charity. We eeat - continue to make a positive impact in the lives of those we y K serve. Meeting their practical immediate needs, as well as THY( psr is>~ 24> assist with some of their long term needs and life goals. We network with other organisations who are able to assist where we cannot. This is invaluable to our service users. We

are proud to encourage and facilitate our service users, who show an interest, to get involved by volunteering with us. This is going very well. We also encourage our partners and those who donate to come along and get involved with the practical side of our Charity. This has been very helpful to us and them. Our service users benefit from seeing other people getting involved too. We look forward to what the future has in store, as we continue to serve the community.

M errecher Tulloch - Looking back over the 10 years I’ve been involved with Street4Christ, it’s - « evolved so much. I remember back to the days of driving into Nottingham City Centre, picking up a carload of clients, ferrying them to the Boys club, me <2) feeding them and then ferrying them back to town; not the greatest or f 7 safest way of doing outreach work but it worked at the time, and it was / what people needed and no one else was offering this kind of needed assistance. It’s taken time, faith & a persistent vision to get the project to its current location with the weekly donations of food, clothing and a team of regular volunteers, instead of a handful of people providing all the

refreshments, cooking, serving and providing the funds to rent the building. When the three of us sat down to apply to be a charity we can honestly say we had no idea what we were doing – But God! It’s always a blessing that people who have used the service can disappear for a while, then they will reappear knowing Streets4Christ is a stable project providing the essentials they need, or they will turn up with someone they have encountered who is also in need. I feel so privileged that I’ve been able to donate my time to such a worthwhile cause.

Alita Currithers - When I first got involved with Streets4Christ I was a volunteer, helping with the preparing & serving of food and packing away after each session. Then as time went on, I became more involved with donating my time and funds to the preparation and cooking of meals and continuing to help with the service of food on a weekly basic and distributions of clothing. Since becoming a trustee, we have a worked to have a network of people to volunteer their services and now have regular donations coming in, to enable us to provide a better service. I feel it’s a blessing that I have been able to have a positive impact on people’s lives through this project.

Charitable activities in the past year

Business will always remain the same for Streets4Christ, we continue to support the homeless and low-waged community in our 3 Nottingham city centre outreaches at All Soul’s Community Centre, St Nicholas Church and by Marks and Spencers. Paul & Minnie’s connection to local churches helps a lot with raising the profile of Streets4Christ and congregations wanting to donate food or their time to help with the food kitchen on Mondays and Fridays, and the much-needed Outreach on a saturday especially when the nights are cold and wet during the dark nights.

Paul our CEO and ‘up-front’ man has done several media O05 interviews – Revelation TV, UCB Christian radio and local 1D Like © comment radio. Some of these generated interest in the charity and we were particularly blessed by a listener, whose donation helped towards purchasing clothing that we were able to distribute during the cold weather.

The Sanctuary & Outreach Distribution - __ ~~OOReeee~~

Traditionally the sit-down service operates on a Mondays from 6.30pm until the food is finished. We offer a 3-course meal and/or take away

meal, clothing, food parcels and bedding. Our weekly outreach on the streets of Nottinghamshire on Wednesdays continues and, although some street sleepers are still being picked up and accommodated through local government short term ‘severe cold weather’ initiatives, there is no food provided by these services so people still need support in this area. We try to ensure we have relevant and up-to-date information about Food Banks, other soup kitchens, shelters and places where resources and information is relevant to the client group. For example, knowing where you can get a free haircut or sanitary products is of great importance. In the last year, we have started additional meal provision service and advice on a Friday lunchtime in central Nottingham.

Supporters/Volunteers

Streets4Christ have continued to work in partnership with other local organisations, charities, churches and businesses and we are forever grateful to the dedicated team of volunteers who turn up every week, even on bank holidays to help someone’s day that little bit brighter.

Future Plans and Changes

We are always on the lookout for funding and ways we can

generate income to further the work of Streets 4 Christ. We are committed to working with others who also strive to help others. We are always on the lookout for our own premises, and ways to ensure we are providing the best service we can.

We are thankful for all the support we receive, whether it be from Fareshare, Nando’s, Tesco, ASDA, Greggs, local shops, churches, the weekly volunteers, the back-up volunteers and the people who donate to the project.

The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that disclose with reasonable accuracy the financial position of the charitable company and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Companies Act 2006. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charitable company and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

In so far as the Trustees are aware:

There is no relevant information of which the charity’s independent examiner is unaware; and

The Trustees have taken all steps that they ought to have taken to make themselves aware of any relevant information and to establish that the independent examiner is aware of that information.

The Trustees are responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the corporate and financial information included on the charitable company's website. Legislation in the United Kingdom governing the preparation and dissemination of financial statements may differ from legislation in other jurisdictions.

The Trustees are members of the charity, but this entitles them only to voting rights. The Trustees have no beneficial interest in the charity.

The opinion of the trustees is that the charitable company is entitled to the exemptions conferred by Section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The trustees acknowledge the following responsibilities:

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit of its accounts for the year in question in accordance with section 476
The trustees acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts

These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies’ subject to the small companies’ regime
