Achievements and performance
Section D
Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year
In 2023, we made a difference in the lives of 100’s of children with Sickle Cell Anaemia.
We are proud to have undertaken impactful initiatives in both the UK and Nigeria, partnering closely with universities and hospitals to delve into research projects focused on understanding the lives of children living with sickle cell disease and their families.
Through these partnerships, we have provided vital support, including essential supplements, food packages, clothing, and access to clean water. These efforts have directly benefited remarkable children living with sickle cell and have provided much-needed hope and support to communities in need.
In the UK, particularly during the colder winter months, we have extended our support by providing free warm fleece duvet sets to eligible children with sickle cell, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Operationally, we have established a robust leadership team and are poised to expand our impact significantly in 2023 and beyond, amplifying our efforts to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by sickle cell disease.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the donors, brands, volunteers, and friends who have stood by us on this mission, demonstrating unwavering support for these children and contributing to our collective efforts to alleviate their suffering.
