The Trustees are appointed by the Church Members at a buslness meeting of the Church. Objettives and actlvltles: The purposes of the Church are the advancement of the ChristFan faith in accordance with the Basis of Faith, primarily but not exclusNely within Colchester. The Church may also carry out other charitable purposes as shall, in the opinion of the members of the Church, furtherthe work of the Church. The Church has consldered the Charity Commlsslon's guidance on publlc beneflt, In particular the specific guidance for the advancement of religion. and believes that thi5 has been met. (i)
Achievements and performance: The Church seeks to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the neighbourhood through the services and other activities, but in view of the spiritual nature of these objectives it is difficult to specify achievements. We have a regular service on Sunday mornings and a family gathering on the premises mid-week on a monthly basis. Life Groups are held in homes and at church. There is an Adventurers Group for prirnary school children and an Explorers Group for pre-school children held on a Sunday momlng. There are monthly meetings for ladies and a further one forgames. All of these are open to the publlc, and there have been a lot of new people Coming to the church with several joining us in membership. The church has a very diverse congregation, both from the local estate and including students and others from nearby Essex Universityi of which *veral have joined the church and are taking an active part in church activities. On occasions we have been able to show care and support to some with personal problems. Several missionaries and organisations have continued to be supported during the year, some alded by personal vlsits from mlssionaries and others by Ilterature distribution. Flnanclal review: The Church is lar8•ly supportèd by voluntary contribution& In ord•r to provld• lonser term support to our minister and to fund necessary building worl the church recelved a number of grants and personal donations. Additionally, legacies of £18492 were recelved durln£ the year. These are reflected in the accounts for the period whlch shows income of £117541 and a surplus of £31924. The balance at the end of the year was £129479, Thls accumulatlon of funds wlll largely be applied to finance our future ministry and any necessary bullding maintenance. Durin8 the year the Church made gifts of £5455 to organisations involved In the work of the Gospel in the UK and throughout the world. No payments were made to trustees apart from the reimbursement of expenditure Incurred for the Church. Other optional information: None. I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/08/2025 As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the Responsibilities and accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the basis of report Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination (other than that disclosed below *) which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:

the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
