The Trustees are appointed by the Church Members at a business meeting of the Church. Objectives and activities: The purposes of the Church are the advancement of the Christian faith in accordance with the Basis of Faith, primarily but not exclusively within Colchester. The Church may also carry out other charitable purposes as shall, in the opinion of the members of the Church, further the work of the Church. The Church has considered the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit, in particular the specific guidance for the advancement of religion, and believes that this has been met. (i)

Achievement5 and performance: The Church seeks to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the neighbourhood through the services and other activities, but in view of the spiritual nature of these objectives it is difficult to specify achievements. We have a regular service on Sunday mornings and a family gathering on the premises mid-week on a monthly basis. Life Groups are held in homes and at church. There is an Adventurers Group for primary school children held on a Sunday morning. There are monthly meetings for ladies and a further one for games. All of these are open to the public, and there have been a lot of new people coming to the church with several joining us in membership. On occasions we have been able to show care and support to some with personal problems. The church has a very diverse congregation, both from the local estate and including students from nearby Essex University. Several missionaries and organisations have continued to be supported during the year, some aided by personal visits from missionaries and others by literature distribution, Financial review: The Church is largely supported by voluntary eontributlons. In order to provide longer term support to our minister and to fund necessary building work, the church received a number of grants and personal donations. These are reflected in the accounts for the period which shows income of £83995 and a deficit of £20994 which was largely due to Fire Safety work The balance at the end of the year was £97555 As mentioned, this accumulation of funds will largely be applied to finance our minister and further necessary building maintenance. During the year the Church made gifts of £6080 to organisations involved in the work of the Gospel in the UK and throughout the world. No payments were made to trustees apart from the reimbursement of expenditure incurred for the Church. Other optional information: None. The trustees declare that they have approved the trusteeg report on pages l and 2 above. I declare, in my capacity as a trustee of the charity, that I have been authorised to sign this rep on their behal 102( Simon John Ford reasurer) Date (2)
