**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARETHE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN SUPPORTING THE WORK OF THE UNIVERSITY OF READING BY ASSISTING IT WITH ITS AIMS OF TEACHING, LEARNING AND RESEARCH THROUGH THE PROVISION OF:-?HUMAN RESOURCES, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY PROVIDING VOLUNTEERS;- FINANCE, IN PARTICULAR THROUGH THE PROVISION OF GRANTS FOR SPECIFIC PROJECTS TO THE UNIVERSITY AND ORGANISATIONS ASSOCIATED WITH IT THAT SHARE THESE AIMS;- OUTREACH, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY ARRANGING OR PARTICIPATING IN EVENTS INFORMING THE PUBLIC OF THE UNIVERSITY AND ITS WORK.NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
