Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main In this fiscal year a total of 124 dogs were successfully adopted into new achievements of the charity caring homes with a few others in the safety of a foster home whilst during the year waiting for adoption. This number is down slightly on the previous year, probably due to our coming out of lock down and people returning to working away from home.
Our support and fund-raising helped improve facilities for our European partners where they are able to offer intermediate shelter for rescued dogs being held in appalling conditions in large municipal pounds. All rescue dogs taken under the wing of the charity have a home to go to before they travel from their country of origin, and all are properly prepared for travel following health checks and vaccinations and all travel documentation is checked for compliance with border regulations. Fund-raising remains robust and the charity’s financial situation remains healthy thanks to careful management.
