We especially note:

Operating “Santa’s Sleigh” to both bring
happiness to children in the Tyne Valley and to

(funded by Tynedale Lions with external grant
contributions). This project is designed to provide

Provision and organisation of a Young People’s
Excellence Scheme which resulted in young people
being awarded bursaries of £500 each to enable
them to develop their skills and expertise;

food collections from local supermarkets and
packing of 3-day food parcels;

Sponsoring and assisting pupils from Corbridge

Achievements and Performance

Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to the
circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a whole.
The achievements of and the differences Tynedale
Lions makes are related not only to financial support
but also to the many hours of volunteer support
provided to other organisations.
During the period of this report we have supported
36 different organisations in the UK and, through
Lions Clubs International, also supported disaster
initiatives across the world. Beneficiaries include
many under-represented, seldom heard,
disadvantaged people. Many of the organisations we
have supported are in urgent need of the help we are
able to provide.
Our Men’s Shed continues to provide activities and
social interaction for local men.
We work closely with voluntary organisations in the
area.
Tynedale Lions also maintains close links with
neighbouring Lions Clubs, with a view to
collaborating in activities and financial support to
projects that are to the benefit of the joint
communities.
Achievements against
objectives set
We believe our achievements match our objectives.
Performance of fundraising
activities against objectives set
Performance not only matches but exceeds previous
years. No fundraising objectives are set.
Investment performance
