## **Trustees Annual Report** ## **2024-2025** (2/9/2023 to 1/9/2024) Aim Hi’s purpose is to advance the education of the children at Hazelmere Infant School and Nursery, in particular but not exclusively by supplying goods and services for their benefit not required to be supplied by the local education authority. Aim Hi generates income through: - Fundraising activities - Seeking appropriate donations All meetings included discussion to confirm the trustees have had regard to the Charity Commission’s guidance on public benefit and were consistent with the objectives of Aim Hi. ## **Achievements and Performance** ## **Fund Raising** We have raised small funds through the Easter Egg Raffle and Christmas Card Sales – these are low effort but very popular. We held a very successful scaled back Christmas Fayre, but still raised a very welcome amount. We held our first ever May Fayre, with great success. We hired inflatables, had live music and great food. This was a hugely popular event and raised well over £1,000. ## **Other Funds** We received a significant donation from a parent fundraiser to fund sensory equipment in the Cabin. This project will be completed next year. We received donations towards the 60[th] birthday for the school celebration which was marked with a very popular colour run. ## **Projects Funded** We have funded the school anniversary colour run – this will span two financial reports. We also funded reception book bags and Christmas gifts for the class. We are aiming to fund a reading shed next year and are working on donations from businesses towards this. We also supported the school guinea pig vet bills but also received family donations for this. ## **Financial Review** See attached financial statements for details ## **Summary:** Income: £8077 Expenditure: £3188 Balance at end of Financial Period: £9413 (of which £1,000 is restricted SEND Family Support Fund and £2,712 for the SEND Sensory Project) ## **The Year Ahead** We are committed to relaunching the efforts of Aim Hi and reintroduce more major fund-raising efforts and putting on events for our community. ## **Structure, Governance and Management** Aim Hi has the constitution of a Charitable Incorporated Organisation Regular trustee meetings are held. Efforts are made to recruit trustees from the local school community although this year this was not possible. No vote is required for this purpose.
