|Summary ofthe main<br>achievements<br>ofthe charity|||Our achievements<br>for 2020-21:|
|during the|year||~ Due to COVID restrictions<br>we were unable to run the majority of our|
||||sports, recreation<br>and engagement<br>activities during the financial year.|
||||However, we were able to continue to provide support to charities and|
||||community<br>groups<br>helping<br>them to find funding<br>and build their capacity|
||||and resilience<br>during the period ofthe COVID lockdown. We have|
||||directly supported<br>four charities and community<br>organisations<br>to continue|
||||to sustain themselves<br>during these uncertain<br>times and will continue to|
||||do this during<br>and affer the lockdown<br>restrictions<br>have been lifted|
||||~We were also able to run a programme<br>ofbasic computer<br>skills and into|
||||work support<br>training at a charity<br>in Sheerness<br>and through<br>a mixture of|
||||one to one, small group and online learning<br>where we helped train and|
||||support 681 people to improve their computer<br>skills, gain into work|
||||support<br>skills whilst supporting<br>another 51 adults<br>with disabilities<br>to gain|
||||access to equipment<br>to help them get online and become more socially|
||||independent<br>and less isolated|
||||~We have started looking at the possibility<br>of employing<br>a member<br>of|
||||staff in the new year to help provide fundraising<br>and capacity building|
||||support to small charities who need help to grow and rebuild due to the|
||||impacts that COVID has had on their activities - we hope to employ a|
||||member ofstaff midway<br>through the next financial year in order for us to|
||||build upon the training,<br>support<br>and activities that we currently<br>provide to|
||||charities and local people who are most isolated<br>within the community|
