## **MAKI Annual General Meeting; 3rd Aug 2023** 

## **Chair’s report** 

This was our 6th functional year since our school had been set up and the second year under the leadership of. Agnes Melkvi as school director. 

This year gave a lot of challenges- one of these was the rising costs of school rent and declining membership due to our move to a different venue. We still managed to hold our forthnightly sessions on Sundays for children between 2 and 15. In total 50-75 participants took part in our regular activities. 

Over the last academic year, we had 15 families as registered members at MAKi,. 

As a tradition we had our summer camp and also had numerous cultural programmes, mainly aimed at children but some for adults also. Due our dwindling numbers it is unsure if we will be able to operate in  the coming academic year.
