The Hub Little Paxton Trustees Report for Charities Commission

April 2020 to March 2021

It has been very difficult to achieve the aims of The Hub as a place for the local community because of all the COVID-19 restrictions in this financial year.

Most of this time the country was in lockdown so all of the usual fitness classes, cafes and parties etc could not take place. This obviously had an impact on the income. We did receive a grant from HDC Council as part of the Covid-19 recovery fund.

When restrictions were eased some events were allowed and some classes did restart for a while with reduced numbers. However a second lockdown in November 2020 and the tiered system in December 2020 with a further lockdown in January 2021, which remained in place until the end of March 2021, meant that very little use was made of the building and sports pitch.

The FA stopped all activities for the Colts, which resulted in more than half of the children not returning after restrictions were lifted.
