**Wind Orchestra and Choir performance for Make Music**
**Day, in addition to the flagship Christmas event.**
**Our summer performance is held on Make Music Day, an**
**international celebration of music making on 21st June**
**every year. We were excited to perform this year at**
**Potters Fields Park, a glorious location on the side of the**
**River Thames close to Tower Bridge.**
**For this second summer event, 246 performers**
**registered to participate. This is clear growth on the 172**
**performers last year, which pleases us greatly.**
**In Christmas 2024, 435 participants registered to perform**
**at our event. This is a huge increase on last year’s 348,**
**and is a remarkable achievement.**
**25% of performers at Christmas 2024 do not currently**
**make music regularly with another group, and over 75%**
**of these would like our help to find them a regular**
**ensemble to join. This shows a large untapped market**
**for one-off events, to inspire people into regular music**
**making. We will continue performing with both a choir**
**and wind orchestra for exactly this reason.**
**This is the final period supported by our grant from Arts**
**Council England to enable the expansion into summer**
**events. We are very grateful for this support, and look**
