services identified in the
accounts.

annual wind orchestra and choir
performance, targeting amateur
musicians to participate as performers
(particularly the under 35s) and aiming
to inspire them to make music all year
round.

whether the trustees have
had regard to the guidance
issued by the Charity
Commission on public

assistance, the event would not be such
a great success.

Achievements and Performance

SORP
reference
Summary of the
main
achievements of
the charity,
identifying the
difference the
charity’s work
has made to the
circumstances
of its
beneficiaries
and any wider
benefits to
society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 We were delighted to return to an in-person event in
2021 following the easing of covid-19 restrictions. This
time we moved to a new venue of Kings Cross, and we
are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support of the
Kings Cross estate team – we couldn’t do such great
work without them!
Over 200 people participated in a single mass
performance event, and despite some slight rain all
afternoon, everyone had a fantastic time.
Headline statistics include:
Out of 235 sign-ups, 41 (17%) don't make music regularly
anywhere else.
Of those who don't make music anywhere else, 66%
would like help after the event to find a group to join.
The statistics lead us to conclude that we have met our
target of reaching people who don’t normally make
music, aiming to bring them into more regular music
making.
